Buenos Aires serves as the capital and largest city, as well as the largest port, of Argentina.
Experience Argentina's colorful cityscape in La Boca, Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is located within the pampas region, except for certain areas such as the Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve, Boca Juniors' 'sports city', Jorge Newbery Airport, Puerto Madero, and the main port; all of which are built on reclaimed land along the coast of the Río de la Plata, the widest river in the world.
La Boca is situated in the southeastern outskirts of the capital Buenos Aires, Argentina. Despite not being in the city center, La Boca always attracts attention and is frequented by many tourists due to the entire small town being immersed in vibrant colors.

The streets in La Boca are narrow and small, with minimal vehicular traffic. Most tourists enjoy strolling along the colorful streets or occasionally popping into vibrant and prominent cafes and bookstores.

The houses in La Boca resemble colorful blocks arranged side by side, creating a painting with various shades of green, red, purple, yellow... Even the decorative objects on the streets such as fire hydrants, milestones, and public benches are painted, making the entire town vibrant and impressive.

This area was previously blocked by tidal channels and bayous, some of which have been filled. The most important channels are Maldonado, Vega, Medrano, Cildañez, and White. In 1908, some channels were renovated and opened up when floods damaged the city's infrastructure. Starting in 1919, most of the channels were closed off. The famous Maldonado channel was filled to create a sewer in 1954, and now runs beneath Juan B. Justo Avenue.
Influenced heavily by European culture, Buenos Aires is sometimes dubbed the “Southern Paris” or the “Paris of South America”. It is one of the most sophisticated cities in Latin America, renowned for its architecture, nightlife, and cultural activities. It is also one of the most prosperous cities in Latin America with a middle-class population and a focus on higher education.
