That river is none other than the famous Klondike River in the Yukon, Canada. Thanks to this river, many have become wealthy overnight. So what makes this river so praised?
It's dubbed the 'priceless river' because its depths hold a vast amount of gold.
Since 1896, two individuals stumbled upon gold in one of Klondike River's branches, and news spread like wildfire.
People flocked here to find gold dust, nuggets, and gold veins beneath Klondike River's bed. Particularly, after each flood season, as the water recedes, the amount of gold on the river increases dramatically. Turns out, the floodwater swept away rocks, revealing gold beneath.
More and more people are drawn here, even constructing a small town near the Klondike River. They make a living from gold mining, with many among them fortunate enough to become millionaires.

100,000 people from all over poured in here to mine gold. But gold extraction wasn't easy as gold distribution was uneven. Moreover, perpetual ice hindered gold prospecting.
Some miners bought back occupied land and then leased it out for mining. Some found nothing and had to return empty-handed.
Gold mining activity lasted until 1903 when production peaked. Heavy-duty equipment was brought in solely for gold mining. Afterward, gold on the Klondike River was no longer mined regularly as before.
Few know that gold beneath the Klondike River hasn't depleted. Currently, there are still 200 active gold mines here.
Thanks to modern machinery, many investors have discovered large quantities of gold and various rare precious minerals.
Former gold mining areas have been transformed into tourist attractions. Visitors here can freely search for gold under the Klondike River but within certain limits.
