Microsoft is infusing AI into all its products, from Bing to Office 365 and now Windows 11. In its latest move, the company has integrated AI into the Microsoft Store app hub on Windows 11, known as the “AI Hub”.
This feature is available in version 22306.1401.1.0 and above of the Microsoft Store and is currently only rolled out in the United States. The AI Hub is a new information page within the Microsoft Store, automatically detecting AI-supported apps and games and compiling them into a list. Apps featured include creative tools like Luninar Neo, Lensa, productivity aids like Descript, Krisp, Podcastle, and even travel planning apps like Tripnotes.
The second AI feature, slated for the next Microsoft Store update, will be dubbed 'AI-Generated Review Summary'. Its aim is to help users grasp the purpose and functionality of an app more clearly. Rather than perusing through reviews or utilizing filters, Microsoft's AI will provide a summarized version of user reviews for that particular app or game. It will highlight key feedback, encompassing both positive and negative aspects, from thousands of users. And the third feature is a new AI-based tool for developers aimed at optimizing their apps for easier discovery within the Microsoft Store. Current app rankings in the Microsoft Store rely on descriptions, metadata, tags, and other factors such as user ratings. The new AI tool will analyze existing metadata and suggest tags to optimize the app's ranking in searches.Hey Windows 11 folks, do you frequent the Microsoft Store to download apps?
