My Friend Peppa Pig receives exceptionally positive reviews.
The end of 2021 marked one of the worst times for the gaming industry as highly anticipated AAA titles, eagerly awaited by gamers for years, officially launched but turned out to be disastrous. From the glitch-ridden GTA Remastered trio to Call Of Duty: Vanguard and most recently, Battlefield 2042, all disappointed the global gaming community with their dismal quality.
All three highly anticipated AAA games received mediocre reviews from critics and thousands of negative reviews from the gaming community. Battlefield 2042 and GTA: The Trilogy, in particular, drew attention for their numerous glitches and regrettable issues. While these can be fixed over time, gamer disappointment is everlasting and never forgotten.
Meanwhile, My Friend Peppa Pig, a recent release based on the popular children's TV series Peppa Pig, stands out. The British animated series, airing since 2004, has maintained a sizable fan base, with Peppa Pig-branded toys selling worldwide. Peppa Pig has enjoyed resounding success, and now it seems My Friend Peppa Pig is outperforming even those high-profile flops.
Specifically, comparing User Scores on the Metacritic review site, the PS4 version of My Friend Peppa Pig has a higher score than all of Battlefield 2042, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and GTA: The Trilogy combined. My Friend Peppa Pig boasts a User Score of 8.4 at present, while Battlefield 2042 only manages 2.4 points, Call of Duty: Vanguard fares better with 4.6 points, and lastly, GTA: The Trilogy performs the worst with a User Score of 0.7 on Metacritic. Adding up the scores for Battlefield 2042, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and GTA Trilogy gives a total of 7.4, one point less than My Friend Peppa Pig.
Certainly, it's fair to say that My Friend Peppa Pig excels beyond comparison with Call Of Duty, Battlefield, or GTA. However, the fact that the gaming community holds this kids' game in such high regard indicates how diligently the developers cared for their creation, unlike the industry giants who merely aim to release games as quickly as possible to 'milk' the gaming community.
