So where are these breathtaking six camping spots?
1. Bat Trang – Mui Dinh

Directions: From Phan Rang, drive about 15 km along National Highway 1A to Van Lam Cham Village, then turn left, cross the plain for about 8km to reach the foot of Dai Bang Mountain. After another 7km, you'll arrive at Son Hai, from where you can drive straight into the desert. At the final milestone, you'll have to get off the vehicle and trek through a sandy stretch of over 1km uphill to reach Mui Dinh Lighthouse.




2. Nui Chua National Park

Directions: Starting from Phan Rang: If you're traveling by motorcycle or self-driving car, simply follow Nguyen Van Cu Street to Khanh Hai Town, continue past Tri Thuy Bridge, then turn right onto TL702 road where you'll see signs leading to Nui Chua National Park headquarters. If you opt for the bus, look for a bus with a Loc Phat sign (ask locals for the nearest pick-up spot) and get off at the sign indicating the entrance to Nui Chua National Park headquarters, then walk a bit further.
Starting from Cam Ranh: With a motorcycle or self-driving car, take National Highway 1A southbound. At the intersection with TL702 road, turn left onto this provincial road, passing through Binh Tien – Vinh Hy for a few kilometers until you see signs directing to Nui Chua National Park headquarters.



3. Binh Tien Beach

Directions: From Phan Rang, take National Highway 1A towards Nha Trang, until Km1525 (31km from Phan Rang, 72km from Nha Trang), where there's a newly opened small road about 12km long crossing a small stream named 'Freshwater Stream'. Right at this intersection, going straight will lead you to Binh Tien, while turning left will take you to Binh Lap.



4. An Hòa Sheep Field

Directions: From National Highway 1A, head northwest for about 16km, and you'll come across the picturesque An Hòa Sheep Field, recently beloved by young people.

5. Red Rock Island

Directions: From the city center, take the Vinh Hy direction for approximately 20km, then continue a smooth 20-minute walk along a golden sandy path, and you'll arrive at the beautiful Red Rock Island.



6. Phuoc Binh National Park

Directions: From Phan Rang City, take Highway 27 westward for about 65km, and you'll encounter Phuoc Binh National Park, where many intriguing experiences await inside.


Handy Tips for a Complete Trip to Ninh Thuan
Ideal Timing
You can visit anytime, but from April to June is ideal for enjoying the lively summer by the sea. August, September, October are perfect for ripe grape season and unique festivals of the local Cham people.
Transportation
There are various transportation options from major cities like Hanoi, Saigon, and Danang to reach Ninh Thuan, such as motorcycles, private cars, buses, airplanes, and trains.
If traveling by plane: the stopover is Cam Ranh Airport, then transfer by bus to Ninh Thuan.
If traveling by train: you can purchase tickets at any station on the Thong Nhat train route, with Thap Cham station as the final stop. From here, take a taxi to the city center of Phan Rang.
If traveling by car: there are several bus companies operating routes from Mien Dong Bus Station – Saigon to Phan Rang Bus Station for about 150,000 VND.
Accommodation
Ninh Thuan offers plenty of accommodation options suitable for various budgets. If you're a budget traveler, you can opt for guesthouses or affordable hotels priced at 200,000 – 250,000 VND along Ngo Gia Tu, Thong Nhat streets... Where to Go?
In addition to the above 5 camping spots, don't forget about the famous tourist attractions in Ninh Thuan such as Vinh Hy Bay and Hang Rai cave.
Vinh Hy Bay: Starting from Phan Rang City, take Nguyen Van Cu and Truong Chinh streets. After crossing Tri Thuy Bridge, turn right onto the coastal road – provincial road 702. With about 40km of breathtaking roads, one side is the sea, the other side is lush green forests, you'll reach Vinh Hy Bay.
Hang Rai Cave: After exploring Vinh Hy Bay, continue by boat straight to Hang Rai Cave. Conclude this exploration journey, follow provincial road 702 northeast to reach the pristine Binh Tien coast. Departing from Binh Tien, follow the winding mountain pass road to reach National Highway 1A. From here, you can continue your planned journeys.
