In the detailed travel review of Ly Son Island for 4 nights and 3 days by Đỗ Kim Anh, we hope to provide you with some useful information for your journey to this beautiful island destination this summer.
This summer, it's a must to visit the stunning Ly Son Island
For this trip to Ly Son Island, we booked flights from Hanoi to Da Nang, then drove to Quang Ngai City ourselves, and finally took a boat to Ly Son Island. The scenery here is breathtaking, well worth the long journey.
1. Total cost for the Ly Son Island trip: 4 million VND per person.
– Airfare from Hanoi to Da Nang: 1.82 million VND per person.
– Boat ticket from the port to Ly Son Island: 408k per person.
– Ticket to visit Bé Island: 120k per person.
– Renting a motorbike from Da Nang: 100k per bike per day. We rented for 3 days, which cost 300k, plus 200k for gas for 3 consecutive days. The cost of transporting the bike onto the boat for the island trip is 180k per round-trip ticket. So, the transportation cost is around 340k per person.
– As for food expenses, it varies for each person. For me, it's around 1 million VND per person.
Additionally, you can fly directly to Chu Lai Airport and then take a taxi to Sa Ky Port, which will save you energy!
Day 1: 21:10 – 22:30, fly from Hanoi to Da Nang. We had fried sticky rice + fried chicken with fish sauce in Da Nang city.
Day 2:
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Travel from Da Nang to Sa Ky port, about 150km. We drove continuously without stopping to catch the boat to the island. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we departed later than planned.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Travel from Sa Ky port to Ly Son Island.
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Rest.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in for sunset at Ly Son flagpole, Hang Cau.
6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Witness the sunrise at Thoi Loi Peak, a freshwater lake.
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Take a boat tour to Bé Island.
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Rest.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in at To Vo Gate, embankment, painted road.
Day 4:
6:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Return to Hang Cau to take some more photos.
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Rest to recharge, ready for more adventure in the afternoon.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Check-out, ride a motorbike to To Vo Gate and try some local delicacies.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Travel from Ly Son back to Sa Ky port.
12:00 PM – 7:00 PM: From Sa Ky port, we planned to head to Hoi An. By this time, it was already dark, but we managed to capture quite a few beautiful photos.
7:00 PM – 9:30 PM: From Hoi An, we returned to Da Nang.
10:35 PM – 11:55 PM: Fly from Da Nang back to Hanoi. End of the 4-day, 3-night journey to Ly Son Island.
