Due to their sensitivity to weather changes, birds at the garden tend to return early or forage late when the weather turns unfavorable. The largest number of birds are storks: red storks, herons, bitterns, black storks, pond herons, white storks, painted storks... congregating heavily from the 8th to the 3rd lunar month of the following year.


Apart from exploring Thung Chim, visitors can tour nurseries and organic vegetable gardens with various types of vegetables and fruits. Additionally, the lake within Thung Nham Bird Garden breeds fish with a large reserve, which many tourists find fascinating.

The clear blue lake water throughout the four seasons, with water levels fluctuating from 3-4m. Beneath the lake lies an extremely diverse and rich aquatic plant system. Fifty tons of fish, including species such as white carp, black carp, grass carp, Indian carp, white crucian carp... many weighing from 10-20kg, are released into the lake.
