New capabilities have been added to help parents more easily monitor their children's activities on TikTok. One way to achieve this is by allowing parents to control what their children can search for on the platform, including content types, users, hashtags, or sounds.
Family Pairing in TikTok receives several new features
Now, parents can decide who can comment on their child's videos by setting access to 'everyone,' 'friends,' or 'no one.' Additionally, they can control who can view their child's videos by setting their profiles to private. This allows parents to choose who can view their child's content or set it to public, where everyone can see the content. Furthermore, TikTok is also introducing the ability for parents to decide who has the right to view their child's Liked Videos tab.
The Family Pairing feature originally allowed parents to limit who can send direct messages to their child, block inappropriate content on the child's For You feed, and manage the time their child spends on TikTok each day. TikTok hopes that these latest changes will help parents 'create a suitable TikTok experience' for their children.
Not only TikTok, but Instagram also introduces intriguing new features, notably launching new safety features to protect minors, contributing to human development. Explore these features in our article.
