When it comes to TikTok, many users might shake their heads when they see the declining content on this platform.
TikTok has recently appeared on VTV with a series of violations such as:
Ineffective control over violating content
Using algorithms to propagate sensational content, solely for views
Lack of measures to control, prevent commercial activities, trading, advertising...
Failure to manage the activities of TikTok idols.
No measures to control copyright violations.
No management measures for users to arbitrarily use private, personal images.
This is the inevitable consequence of this platform when, in just a few years of appearing in the Vietnamese market, TikTok has spawned a plethora of 'idols' alongside violating content. Not only do TikTok contents lure views with 'dirty' content, but they also deteriorate and harm.
There have been numerous video clips on TikTok that promote trends that can be described as 'disturbing.' What's alarming is that these clips influence the mindset and perception of a significant portion of young users, even children. These influences will lead to skewed perceptions, resulting in unpredictable future behaviors.
Recently, a quite famous Kols on the TikTok platform uploaded a very sensitive video clip inciting '18+ exchanges,' which is deteriorating content created solely to garner views from users. Ideally, these verified TikTok accounts should realize that their 'little fun' on clips may have an unforeseeable impact on users and society.
TikTok is facing a crisis, but it's an inevitable consequence, the price to pay for this platform when it fails to control the harmful, dirty, and toxic content created by its own users. Despite knowing that this platform still has a lot of wholesome content, it cannot help TikTok create a good impression with users when the app is flooded with dangerous content.
