The Rampant Issue of Covertly Filming Movies in Theaters Persists This Tet Season, Now with a Highly Cunning New Form.
The 2023 Tet film season witnesses the release of 2 Vietnamese productions, attracting a large audience after a less than optimistic year. However, the joy is short-lived, as one of the films faces a troubling trend, revealing the poor awareness of moviegoers.

Recently, on the social media platform TikTok, an account engaged in the prohibited act of recording the Tet film 'Sister Sister 2' starring Minh Hang - Ngoc Trinh, and subsequently posting it. This account even engaged in the cunning action of dividing the film into multiple videos to garner interaction, with one video amassing over 300 thousand views. Comments on the videos are also disabled to limit online debates.

This is evidently an action contrary to regulations, even violating the law. Currently, 'Sister Sister 2' has only been in theaters for less than 3 days, during a 'hot' period for achieving significant revenue, yet it encounters the unconscious behavior of a portion of the audience. Not only one scene but the entire film from beginning to end is publicly uploaded, causing substantial repercussions for the film and crew.
Actress Minh Hang, who plays Ba Tra in the film, has also voiced her concealed frustration when the project encounters such an unfortunate situation. 'Actions speak louder than words for these uncultured issues,' the actress posted.

This isn't the first time we've seen the issue of 'pirated' films, movies being secretly recorded and uploaded rampant on social media. Previously, it was Facebook with live streaming, and now it's TikTok's turn to be the new 'playground' for these audience members. On the other hand, by the end of the second day of Tet, 'Sister Sister 2' directed by Vu Ngoc Dang has surpassed the 10 billion VND mark (according to Box Office Vietnam), ranking second in box office receipts after 'Mrs. Nu's House' starring Tran Thanh.
