After speculation about a tournament merging AOV (Arena of Valor) and HOK (VGVD) last year, it's finally becoming a reality. VGVD Season 33 is on the brink of introducing a 'cross-play' mode between the two TiMi Studio games.
In late August 2021, gamers in Vietnam were ecstatic to hear about the AWC tournament combining the two beloved games, Arena of Valor and VGVD. This strategic move by TiMi Studio aims to showcase its VGVD flagship game to gamers worldwide through a prestigious international tournament. According to official Arena of Valor sources, the prize pool for AWC 2022 is estimated to reach $8 million USD (approximately 186 billion Vietnamese dong), making it substantially higher than previous Esports tournaments organized for both games.

However, even by 2023, the previously announced information had not manifested. Perhaps the COVID-19 pandemic was a significant factor halting TiMi Studio's ambitious AWC 2022 tournament. Nevertheless, nearing the end of the first half of 2023, Timi developers are resolute in transforming their conceived idea into reality with a gameplay mode merging Arena of Valor and VGVD on the VGVD server for Season 33.

The release of the AOV x HOK mode also explains why VGVD recently added the Vietnamese language option. In the near future, Arena of Valor gamers will experience the sensation of facing off against their original heroes, like Raz battling Mai Shiranui or Nakoruru fighting Kriknak in the jungle.
