Minecraft Dungeons introduces a completely new gameplay style compared to the classic Minecraft formula. Instead of collecting resources, crafting items, and building from various types of blocks in a first-person view in Minecraft, you will primarily explore dungeons in Minecraft Dungeons, focusing more on looting treasures and battling enemies.

Replay each level to secure better equipment.
The Minecraft Dungeons world combines preset designs with randomly generated rewards. While the layout remains constant, the enemies, their dropped items, and the chest locations change with each playthrough. Explore levels again, face tougher foes, and earn superior gear.
Each level presents a myriad of challenging difficulty levels. The number and strength of enemies increase in tandem with the gameplay's level of challenge. The equipment level is intrinsically linked to the difficulty level, and you can observe the item drop range on the mission selection screen.
2. Seriously consider the recommended energy levels
Since higher-level challenges offer better gear, it's tempting to set the difficulty above your current energy level. In theory, better equipment provides significant motivation. However, refrain from doing so until you're close to or at the recommended energy level, preferably above it. Otherwise, such battles will become burdensome, and the likelihood of failure is high. Instead, play at the highest level possible while maintaining an equivalent or higher energy level than the recommended power. You'll still acquire superior gear, but in a gradual manner, and earn emeralds.
3. Don't skimp on Emeralds
In addition to loot like armor and weapons, you'll also collect Emeralds in each level. These Emeralds will be spent in transactions with two suppliers:
- Blacksmith, who will arrive at your camp after you complete Creeper Woods for the first time.
- Wandering Trader, who will appear after you complete Pumpkin Patch for the first time.
These suppliers will offer you a random item - equipment from the Blacksmith and Artifacts from the Trader in exchange for Emeralds. Equipment includes armor, bows, and weapons, while Artifacts are temporary power-boosting items like Boots of Swiftness and Flaming Quivers. There's not much else you can buy with Emeralds, at least in the Beta version, so don't hoard them. Purchase new gear whenever you have the funds.
4. Transform unused gear into Emeralds
Equipment and Artifacts have only a few stats, and among them, the only stat you need to care about is the level. The higher the level of the equipment, the better. In Minecraft Dungeons, you can't sell items you don't need, but you can salvage them from your inventory. This turns any item you pick up into Emeralds, which you can then exchange for better gear.
5. Reclaim Enchantment Points
Every time you level up, you'll receive 1 Enchantment Point. From the inventory, you'll use these points to unlock random perks for your equipment. However, you don't need to hoard these points to wait for better gear. When you use an enchanted item, you'll receive some emeralds and all the Enchantment Points previously invested. This means you can swap gear and immediately enchant it.
6. Utilize ranged weapons for distant foes
There are no weapon classes in Minecraft Dungeons, so you'll need to use everything at your disposal to take down enemies. You'll have both melee and ranged weapons (along with a variety of Artifacts for buffs). You'll engage in countless close-quarters battles and face off against distant foes.
To ensure success, you'll need to employ both melee and ranged weapons and continuously switch between them. Use melee weapons to deal with nearby enemies and let the bow handle Skeleton Archers and Geomancers.
7. Don't overlook the map
Aside from slaying mobs and rescuing villagers, Minecraft Dungeons revolves around adventurous exploration. Every level is intricate with many dead ends, branching paths, and tunnels. Exploring every part of the map means you'll discover all the secret chests and acquire as much loot as possible.
Pressing the D-pad will bring up a sketch of the map on your screen. It may look a bit confusing, but you can see where you're headed and any twists and turns worth exploring.
Additionally, players can uncover more of the mysterious map - soggy caves. But how to unlock soggy caves? Let's delve into Mytour's article to find out!
