My Anh, now 14 years old, possesses impeccably aligned teeth that everyone admires, thanks to her mother's dedication to oral care since childhood.

I'm Thanh Huyen, the mother of a 14-year-old girl named My Anh, who is quite charming. What captivates others the most when meeting her is her bright smile and perfectly aligned teeth, achieved without braces or any teeth-whitening products. Since the early stages of her tooth development, I have been highly attentive to caring for her oral health.
I hope the following tips I share can help mothers in developing beautiful teeth for their children from a young age to adulthood. Considering the high cost of braces, which can reach hundreds of millions, and the challenges in dietary choices, applying these tips correctly will ensure that your children have evenly white teeth from childhood to adulthood.

Specific Sequence When Children Lose Their Teeth
Almost 95% of children lose their teeth in this sequence, so mothers need to pay close attention and be vigilant at the right time. The most common sequence of losing teeth: 2 upper incisors, 2 lower incisors, 2 upper molars, 2 lower molars, 2 small lower canines, 2 small upper canines, and then gradually the small upper molars shifting inward.
When My Anh started losing teeth at the age of 6, showing signs of loose teeth, I immediately took her for tooth extraction. Despite our teeth naturally being even, if baby teeth are not extracted in time, the permanent teeth may grow unevenly.
So, extracting baby teeth early will prevent uneven tooth growth. Also, I always remind my child not to use the tongue to push the teeth, as it can lead to protrusion. Vietnamese often use toothpicks to remove food stuck between teeth, but this can cause tooth spacing issues. It's better to use dental floss or go for professional teeth cleaning to remove excess food.
Vietnamese parents often neglect regular dental check-ups every 6 months to care for their child's teeth, only taking them when issues arise. By then, it might be too late. This is one of the reasons why my child has always had beautiful and healthy teeth from an early age.
Oral Care Using Basil Water
This is our family's traditional remedy for over 80 years. Our elders, at the age of 70, have shiny teeth, virtually free from cavities, and rarely suffer from throat inflammation, all thanks to basil water.

Rinsing with basil water is a cost-effective way to maintain good oral hygiene
- Place 10 clean basil leaves into 250ml water, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and blend thoroughly using a blender
- Use a strainer to filter the residue, retaining the liquid. Transfer the filtered liquid into a bottle and store it in the refrigerator. This 250ml solution can be used for a week
- If the basil water separates into two parts, gently shake it to mix. Rinse your mouth twice a day thoroughly after brushing your teeth, avoiding rinsing with water afterward.
