Note: The screen minimizing mode or Skype split view is only available for Skype on desktop, Chromebook, and not available for Skype on mobile or web platforms.
1. How to minimize Skype screen on desktop
Step 1: Launch Skype on your computer, sign in to your account.
Step 2: On the Skype workspace, click on the three-dot icon (see more) and select 'enable split view mode' (Enable Split View Mode)
Step 3: Now, the Skype screen has been minimized. You can click and hold the left mouse button on the conversation header in Skype to move the window anywhere on your computer screen. Additionally, you can also drag and hold the mouse to resize the Skype screen as desired.
Step 4: How to open multiple chat windows on Skype
To open additional minimized Skype screens, simply double-click on any conversation in your chat list. At this point, a new conversation window will be displayed on a new window on your screen.
