Understanding the Basics of the Game
To excel in a game like Auto Chess, you need to learn the basics. We advise you to try to memorize them all because knowing the following is crucial; it will help you win battles and give you an edge over other new players.
- 3 identical 1* characters form a 2* character.
- 3 identical 2* characters form a 3* character (basically, you need 9 1* characters to create a complete 3* character) and they're the maximum characters you can achieve (can't be further upgraded).
Sell Unused Heroes
You can start battles with certain specific heroes you receive initially, and commonly swap them frequently at the beginning. But as you progress through battle stages, you can make adjustments to make your lineup better, stronger. Actively selling unused heroes to recoup the money you invested in them, and invest in better heroes.
Combine Heroes and Experiment with Various Combos
You should try combining various heroes from all different factions and classes because you'll receive some additional stats that will surely play a crucial role in winning battles. Try exploring the combos you receive by tapping on the display icon on the top left of the screen.
We advise trying out different combos depending on the heroes you receive each appearance, if you want to get better heroes or to upgrade a certain hero then reroll to search and upgrade them to higher stars.
Arrange Your Team Wisely
Arranging your team is quite crucial because you'll need to set it up right away if you want it to survive. It's best to place all tanker heroes in the front, as they will absorb all damage (unless the enemy has assassin-type heroes), while the heroes at the back will deal damage.
In my opinion, you should try various combinations to find out what suits your team and the heroes you have best. Feel free to move your heroes around the board to counter enemy heroes, and keep your low-health heroes safe.
Level Up to Deploy More Heroes onto the Board
Level up by adding EXP at the bottom left of the screen. Adding 5 EXP will cost 5 Gold, so make sure you do this to gain an advantage in all rounds. I suggest you try to level up before starting to re-roll to find high-level heroes at the end of the game.
Sometimes, having just one more hero on the board than your opponent can help you win or lose less HP, giving you numerical strength. And one more extremely important thing here, don't forget to deploy your heroes after leveling up, because if you don't, you'll leave a gap and lose the advantage against other players.
Get Extra Gold
There are several ways for you to earn more Gold in the game, and if you want to learn them all, let me help you know and use them to your advantage in battles:
- You'll receive Gold every time you pass a Battle Round (PvP or PvE).
- You'll get Gold whenever you sell heroes (usually early game heroes).
- You'll receive more Gold, the more you win consecutively against opponents (by having a winning or losing streak).
Check Challenges and Complete Them
In the game, you'll find a Challenges button at the top of the screen. There, you can see all the Viking missions you can complete in the game, read to know what to focus on in the game. They offer you various rewards, so be sure to complete them whenever possible.
