National Economics University (NEU) is one of the fully autonomous universities in Vietnam. With frequent operational and investment autonomy, the tuition fee is calculated at 2.5 times the prescribed fee for business, management, and law majors at universities that have not yet achieved autonomy, amounting to 14.1 million VND/year. If meeting international quality standards or regulations set by the Ministry of Education and Training, universities can determine their own tuition fees.
Furthermore, NEU focuses on investing in the learning environment. With the assistance of the World Bank, the university has built an electronic library, providing students with a learning resource comparable to advanced universities in the region and the world. The university purchases foreign materials, online databases, and disseminates them to all economic universities in Vietnam.

Hanoi University, renowned for its excellence in foreign languages and dynamic spirit, has been entrusted by the Ministry of Education and Training to pilot autonomy. On March 26, 2007, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 1329/QD-BGDĐT granting autonomy and financial responsibility to Hanoi University.
Ranked 9th, the University of Economics and Law offers a blend of economic and legal education.
In 2021, HCMC National University will incorporate three additional member universities as part of its institutional reform initiative, transitioning to an autonomous phase.
