1. Minions 2: The Rise of Gru
The mischievous Minions, millions of years old, are back in the highly anticipated sequel, Minions: The Rise of Gru. Set to be a wild and hilarious adventure, this film showcases the cute yellow creatures as they learn to serve their new master. A continuation of the 2015 Minions film, Minions: The Rise of Gru is the fifth installment in the Despicable Me series. Directed by Kyle Balda, who also helmed Despicable Me 3 and Minions, with Brad Ableson and Jonathan del Val co-directing.
Illumination, the studio behind Minions 2: The Rise of Gru, released the official trailer on February 5, 2020, after teasing with an earlier teaser. The prequel’s storyline is set in the early 1970s, amid retro art, disco music, and vibrant fashion, all representing the iconic era. Gru, the 12-year-old fanboy of The Vicious 6, a supervillain team, teams up with his newly formed Minions squad led by Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and new Minion Otto, as he devises a plan to become a villain in his own right, yet still gain recognition.

2. Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!
Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! is the thirty-fourth film in the direct-to-video series based on Hanna-Barbera's classic Saturday morning cartoons. Featuring vocal talents from Frank Welker, Grey DeLisle, Matthew Lillard, Kate Micucci, and Myrna Velasco, the film follows Scooby and the gang as they find themselves in a race after solving their most challenging cases. Colorful, humorous, and packed with fun, Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! is a delightful animated movie, perfect for younger audiences during this festive season. The film brings plenty of games, no tricks (aside from the plot), and just the right amount of laughs to keep things light and enjoyable.
In Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo, Mystery Inc. is working hard to capture villains and their partners when they stumble upon something significant: Their latest foe is wearing a costume created by designer Coco Diablo. Upon further investigation, they realize Diablo has been the costume designer for all their past adversaries, starting with their first encounter with the Black Knight. The gang successfully solves what is considered their biggest case by thwarting all future villains’ schemes, but this creates an unexpected issue. With no more villains to pursue, Mystery Inc. finds themselves without a purpose.

3. Lightyear - Space Police
Lightyear is Pixar's latest space adventure that is perfect for the whole family. Packed with action, intense moments, stunning visuals, and even a robot cat cameo, the film also carries a meaningful theme beneath its glossy surface. 'Lightyear' positions itself as the movie that made Andy from 'Toy Story' fall in love with Buzz Lightyear, leading to him receiving a Buzz action figure for his birthday.
In this film, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear (Chris Evans) is tasked with finding a fuel source that will help a group of stranded space travelers return home. The mission becomes even more complicated when a massive, mysterious spaceship appears, sending drones to the planet to block Buzz's path. Buzz must set aside his ego and team up with a close-knit group, including his best friend’s granddaughter Izzy (Keke Palmer) and his robot cat Sox (Peter Sohn), to complete the mission.
Lightyear is an exciting action-adventure film. It looks amazing, offers moments of brief humor, and plenty of necessary robot destruction. While the pacing is fast, it occasionally slows down to give Buzz some emotional, tear-jerking scenes. Evans is a perfect fit for the role of the heroic, chest-thumping figure, though he occasionally reminded me of his 'Captain America' persona. You can watch and enjoy 'Lightyear' as a thrilling space adventure with stunning visuals and amusing moments.

4. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022)
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a refreshing addition to the Dragon Ball franchise. The decision to shift away from Goku as the lead character is a smart one, giving much-needed focus to Piccolo (Christopher Sabat). With Namekian in the spotlight and plenty of new characters, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero feels like a condensed arc from the series – one that doesn’t overfill the narrative. The 3D animation style, which often accompanies anime film adaptations for theatrical releases, suits the story, and luckily, the plot is engaging enough to overcome the flashy visuals.
The original appeal of Dragon Ball Super may have frustrated longtime Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z fans, and while the series occasionally dips into humor from the past, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero knows when to pull back the jokes and focus on drama and action. Perhaps the most significant change in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is its lead character, Piccolo. With him as the guide, fans are presented with a story that isn’t solely centered around the Super Saiyan mythology. By the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, fans will feel both nostalgic and excited about the direction the franchise is headed.

5. The Bad Guys
Based on the children's graphic novel series by Aaron Blabey, "The Bad Guys" follows a group of fun-loving criminals who dive into their villainous roles in the animal kingdom for thrills and profit. Wolf (voiced by Sam Rockwell) is the charismatic leader, with unmistakable shades of Danny Ocean. Snake (Marc Maron) is a grumpy but loyal sharpshooter. Shark is a master of disguise, though his true nature as a shark is always hilariously obvious.
Tarantula (Awkwafina) is a quick-witted hacker, a role that would be far easier with eight arms. Meanwhile, Piranha's main talent is emitting toxic gas, which at first seems like a random joke to make kids giggle, but it surprisingly becomes a running thread throughout the story, cleverly written by Etan Cohen (Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa). The vibrant and dynamic animation of "The Bad Guys" is nonstop, with physical comedy that humorously plays on the natural instincts of these anthropomorphized creatures.

6. Luck (I)

The digital animated film Luck (I) is the first product from a new American-Spanish company, Skydance Animation, created under the guidance of former Pixar director John Lasseter. Sam (voiced by Eva Noblezada) is an 18-year-old girl raised in an unusually imaginative orphanage in a U.S. city.
Throughout her life, Sam has had bad luck, not only as an orphan but also with everyday mishaps like bumping into objects and losing keys. Just when she moves into her own apartment and starts a new job, Sam becomes increasingly concerned for a young child in the house who is struggling to find a foster family, much like herself. If only Sam could somehow pass on some of her luck to this child.
Then, Sam encounters a black cat on the street and finds a lucky coin on the sidewalk. Her fortune changes, and she discovers that the cat, named Bob (voiced by Simon Pegg), can talk in a Scottish accent similar to Mike Myers' Shrek. This adorable cat lives in the upper half of a secret world where Earth's luck is produced, while the lower half, darker and gloomier, is where misfortune resides. Sam embarks on a journey to this dull 'no-Oz' world, meeting quirky and dull characters, including a lucky alien goblin; it seems that some patterns may be in place.
