9. Description of the 8th security guard
People bonded with us at this elementary school not only include teachers, classmates but also the security guard. He is the one who ensures the safety and tranquility of our school. To me, the security guard is like a hero guarding our school.
I'm not sure how long he has been associated with this school, but I just know that when I first stepped into the school, I saw him. He's nearly 60 years old now, but he still looks very vigorous. He has a tall and sturdy figure. His hands are big and firm. So, every time he beats the drum, I hear a loud, crisp, and decisive sound. I really admire his gentle and kind face. Every time we pass by the school gate and greet him, he responds with a very bright smile. However, if any students violate the rules like climbing trees, littering, or using foul language, his face becomes stern. His eyes are black, hidden under thick eyebrows. His high forehead, whenever he smiles or frowns, reveals wrinkles on his forehead.
He is very dedicated to his work. Every day, he beats the drum to signal the start and end of class accurately. Many times when I felt lazy to study, I eagerly awaited the sound of his drum signaling the end of the school day. During the day, he sits at the guard booth at the school gate, not allowing any students to skip classes or go out to play, nor letting unauthorized personnel enter the school. In the evening, when everyone has left and only he remains with the school, he walks along the corridors of the classrooms with a flashlight to inspect. This seemingly simple task requires meticulousness, a sense of responsibility, and endurance. Because every day, rain or shine, he has to patrol around the school. Sometimes when he sees individual students climbing tables and chairs, damaging school property, he sternly reprimands them. Thanks to him, the trees and plants in the school always thrive.
Everyone in our school loves and respects him. Thanks to him, our school is always safe, peaceful, and filled with the laughter of children because we have the security guard.

10. Description of the 10th security guard
In the life around me, I have come into contact and made friends with many people: familiar neighbors, classmates, friends at school, and teachers who have educated me... But perhaps in this beloved school, the one I remember most is our school's security guard.
Our school's security guard is over 50 years old. He lives near the school, and since he has free time, he works as a guard at our school. His hair has gradually turned gray. The white strands mixed with the black ones make us feel very sad because it's a sign of old age, indicating that he is aging, getting older. His square face is extremely kind. His eyes have gradually shown familiar crow's feet that I always see in my grandmother's eyes, showing the faint marks of time passing by. But even so, he can still see very clearly, he can remember my face clearly after just one meeting. When reading the newspaper, he always wears a pair of reading glasses to see the words more clearly. He always smiles, his laughter is extremely cheerful, as if carried by the wind to bring joy to others. His skin has darkened due to the sun, showing faint freckles. However, he is still very healthy. Every day, he checks all the classrooms to see if the lights and fans have been turned off after school. Every day, he feeds the goldfish in the school pond and waters the school's flower garden. These small tasks require a lot of effort because he has to move around a lot, but he always does them well. On evenings when parents are late to pick up their children, I and a few other friends stand waiting at the school gate, he always calls us into the guard room to sit and rest our tired feet. At that time, we are all happily chatting with him, forgetting our parents calling us outside. Because his stories are so fascinating to us. Before becoming a school security guard, during times of war in the country, he was a brave and heroic soldier that we only knew through history lessons. His stories about the war, about humanity at that difficult time, are like a slow-motion film, showing us the scenes of the country at that time.
I really love and respect our school's security guard. Because now, he is not just a security guard at school anymore, but also the one who brings us everyday stories, lessons from those stories.
