1. Example 4: The Story of the Boy and the Beggar
In front of the frail, worn-out beggar, the young boy searched his pockets again and again, but couldn't find even a single coin. Flustered, he took the old man's hand. "I'm sorry, I have nothing to give you." The beggar smiled and said, "Thank you, young one. Your kindness is already more than enough for me."
Both the beggar and the boy felt that they had received something deeply precious in that moment. And through this story, we learn that sharing love, empathy, and kindness is worth far more than any material possession in the world.

2. Example 5: The Two Seas
In Palestine, there are two seas: the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee, both fed by the Jordan River. The water from the Jordan River flows into the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea keeps the water for itself without sharing, so its water becomes salty and bitter. On the other hand, the Sea of Galilee receives water from the same river, but it overflows into smaller lakes and streams, keeping the water fresh and nurturing life for plants, animals, and humans alike.
This illustrates that sharing what we have, helping others, makes us more complete, and brings meaning and optimism to life. On the contrary, selfishness leads to isolation and decay.

3. Example 6: The Elder Brother of Socialism
The Soviet Union in the past was referred to as "The Elder Brother of Socialism". With a strong spirit of internationalism, after its victory in World War II, the USSR continuously provided assistance to Eastern European countries, colonial nations in Asia seeking independence, and nations like Vietnam striving for freedom.
No nation in history has been as great as the Soviet Union, with its banner of peace and the liberation of the working class raised high. Soviet soldiers fought on nearly every battlefield across the globe, while the USSR sent essential resources—food, weapons, medicine, and military supplies—to support the liberation of colonial nations in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

4. Example 7: Forgiveness and Tolerance
Holding on to anger and resentment is like filling a glass of water with salt. The water becomes bitter, and no matter how much we hold on to the anger, it does not ease. But if the same amount of salt is dissolved in a lake, the water remains clear and refreshing, and the salt dissolves away.
Forgiveness and tolerance lighten our hearts, allowing us to feel a sense of relief and peace.

5. Example 8: The 1000 Dong Noodle Bowl
At 30 O Cho Dua Street in Hanoi, there is a noodle shop owned by Châu Ngọc Diệp. Every Friday morning, he organizes a program called “1000 Dong Noodle Bowl” for the poor and those in difficult circumstances, such as the homeless. What’s special about this program is that the bowl of noodles, usually worth several tens of thousands of Dong, is still served with all the usual ingredients like pig’s trotters, beef, and herbs.
The price of 1000 Dong is symbolic, as the meal is essentially free. Thanks to his kind act, we witness the smiles of hardworking laborers, the shining eyes of children, and the grateful tears of beggars who haven't had a proper meal for days. A single bowl of noodles from him can save a life that is at the brink of exhaustion from hunger.
His gesture stems from genuine compassion and empathy for those in unfortunate circumstances, with no selfish motives for fame or gain. That’s why it is widely supported and admired. His program, although a small contribution, has sparked a ripple effect of love and kindness throughout the community.

6. Example 9: Sister Trần Lan Anh from Bạc Liêu
In Bạc Liêu, Trần Lan Anh was battling severe heart failure, yet she fought to keep her unborn child alive. Despite knowing her time was running out, she held on just long enough to see her baby born before taking her final breath.
In 2013, during her third pregnancy, Lan Anh began experiencing persistent coughing, shortness of breath, and chest pain. Her health deteriorated rapidly, and after several tests, doctors diagnosed her with terminal heart failure. Her life was now measured in days. By the time her baby was five months along, she understood that survival was unlikely, but she pleaded with the doctors to do everything in their power to save her child. She barely managed to reach the sixth month of pregnancy before her body completely weakened. Faced with an urgent situation, the doctors transferred her to Từ Dũ Hospital.
At the hospital, despite being barely conscious, Lan Anh continued to worry about her baby's survival. Understanding the urgency of the situation, the doctors decided to perform an emergency C-section, delivering the baby at just six months. They hoped that the bond of maternal love would give the child the strength to overcome all odds and grow into a good person.

7. Example 10: The Story of the Rose for Mom
A man stopped at a flower shop to send flowers to his mother by mail. She lived 300 km away. As he was about to leave, he noticed a young girl crying on the sidewalk. He approached her and asked what was wrong. The girl sobbed, "I want to buy a rose for my mother, but I only have 75 cents, and the rose costs two dollars." The man smiled gently and said, "Come here, I’ll buy it for you." He purchased a rose for the girl and also ordered a bouquet to be sent to his own mother.
Once the transactions were complete, the man asked the girl if she needed a ride home. Her face brightened, and she responded eagerly, "Yes, please take me to my mother's house." She led him to a cemetery, where a freshly dug grave awaited. Pointing to the grave, she said, "This is where my mother lives now." She then carefully placed the rose on the grave.
Immediately, the man returned to the flower shop, canceled the previous order, and bought a beautiful bouquet of roses. That night, he drove the 300 km back home to personally deliver the flowers to his own mother.
Someday, your mother will age and be gone forever. So love her, cherish her, and care for her while you still have the chance.

8. Example 1: The Story of Sister Nguyễn Thị Yên
Sister Nguyễn Thị Yên, born in 1981 in Đôn Lao village, Đông La commune, Hoài Đức district, Hanoi, left behind a heart-wrenching story of a mother who sacrificed her sight for her child’s life. This story has touched countless hearts and brought many to tears.
Life seemed perfect for Yên when she found her life partner, but everything changed when she became pregnant. It was then that the tragedy of her life began. At five months into her pregnancy, Yên began to experience frequent nosebleeds and strange swelling in her lymph nodes. After seeking medical help, she was diagnosed with terminal nasal cancer. Doctors advised her to terminate the pregnancy to save her life and her sight.
During those painful months, Yên faced an agonizing decision. While battling the disease, she also carried her pregnancy with a mixture of joy and suffering. There were days when she wandered the streets, exhausted and broken, weeping uncontrollably. Despite this, she chose to forego treatment, deciding to keep the baby and give birth to Nguyễn Hoàng Cẩm Tú at eight months. At the moment her child was born, Yên’s sight was lost forever. For her, giving life to her child was the greatest happiness, a decision she would never regret. The joy of seeing her child healthy was worth the sacrifice, even if it meant she would not live to see the future.

9. Example 2: The Story of the Pelican
The mother pelican returned to her nest after a long, exhausting day of hunting. The sky was stormy, and today her pouch was empty. She couldn’t find a single piece of food to bring back to her chicks. Tired and worn out, she struggled against the wind to get home. Still, she kept pushing forward to return to her babies.
When the mother pelican arrived at the nest, her chicks eagerly stretched their necks and opened their beaks to receive the food from her empty pouch. They ate, satisfied, unaware that this would be the last meal their mother could provide for them.
This story highlights the noble sacrifice of the mother pelican for her young, while also showing the thoughtlessness of the young birds. They took it for granted that their mother would always bring them food, never noticing the exhaustion and pain she endured. In the end, the mother pelican flew away, never to return.

10. Example 3: A Mother's Love
There was a girl who, unable to bear her mother's reprimands any longer, left home in anger. One day, after walking aimlessly, feeling the weight of regret, she decided to return. As she approached her house, she saw that the door was wide open and the light was still on, even though it was late. Panic surged in her heart as she feared something terrible had happened, so she ran, crying out for her mother. When she finally saw her mother, she burst into tears and held her tightly.
Once her tears subsided, she asked her mother why she had left the door open and the light on. Her mother replied, "Since the day you left, I’ve kept the door open and the light burning, hoping you would come back one day."
This story reflects the boundless, unconditional love and forgiveness a mother has for her child.
