Eren initiates the Rumbling, a catastrophic event that unleashes millions of Colossal Titans from the walls, flattening the world and ensuring eternal peace for Paradis.
With the help of Marleyan Titan powers, the Survey Corps stops the Rumbling, but the catastrophe wipes out 80% of humanity. Mikasa ultimately kills Eren, eradicating the power of the Titans globally. Three years later, war looms between the island's inhabitants and the remaining nations. However, Armin believes that Queen Historia's peace talks will succeed. Generations later, Paradis is bombed and destroyed by other nations. Demon Slayer begins in a world where rumors of flesh-eating demons lurking in the forest keep villagers inside after dark. The main character, Kamado Tanjiro, is a kind-hearted, intelligent boy who lives with his family in the mountains, earning money by selling charcoal. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by demons (oni).
Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko, are the only survivors of the attack, but Nezuko has been turned into a demon. Miraculously, she still retains her human emotions and thoughts. Tanjiro, determined to save his sister and avenge his family, joins the Demon Slayer Corps after meeting Water Hashira Tomioka Giyuu and being trained by former Hashira Urokodaki Sakonji. Alongside his new friends, Zenitsu and Inosuke, Tanjiro embarks on a dangerous journey to find a cure for Nezuko and defeat the demon responsible for his family's tragedy.


6. Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo Ghoul is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name. While it shares themes of monsters and supernatural forces, it stands out from other similar anime due to its exceptional plot development and the complex meanings woven throughout the story. The line between good and evil in the series is incredibly blurred, and viewers are taken on a journey into the dark world of ghouls, as well as the shadowy aspects of the investigators hunting them.
The story follows Kaneki Ken, an ordinary high school student with no distinguishing features. He leads a simple, peaceful life—just like any other teenager. But everything changes when he meets a mysterious girl named Rize Kamishiro at a café. Rize turns out to be a ghoul—an otherworldly creature that hunts and devours humans in the dead of night. Drawn to her beauty, Kaneki agrees to meet her in a secluded spot.
However, just as Kaneki is about to become her next victim, a heavy concrete block falls on Rize, saving his life but leaving him critically injured. In order to save him, the doctors replace his destroyed organs with those of Rize. As a result, Kaneki’s body is transformed, turning him into a half-ghoul. From then on, he must navigate life in the ghoul world, confronting his new identity while trying to maintain his humanity in a society filled with monsters.


7. My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia takes place in a world where 80% of the population possesses remarkable abilities like flight, gravity manipulation, ice powers, and fire projection. With such a large portion of people gifted with powers, it has become the norm in society. But what about the remaining 20% who are powerless? In this society, being born without powers is seen as a major disadvantage, resulting in both social pressure and immense personal struggles. This sets the stage for the growing tension between the two groups.
Unlike typical superhero stories where the protagonist is born with extraordinary powers or chosen for greatness, My Hero Academia centers around Izuku Midoriya, a regular middle school boy who belongs to the 20% of the population without any superpowers. Because of this, he is often bullied by his peers, but his dream of becoming a hero never fades. Despite the odds, he holds onto the hope of becoming a symbol of justice. His life takes a dramatic turn when his idol, the world’s number one hero, All Might, grants him the powerful “One for All” ability, but at a cost. The power comes with harsh conditions and leaves Midoriya severely injured each time he uses it.


8. One Piece
One Piece tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who, inspired by his childhood hero Shanks the Red, embarks on a journey to become the King of Pirates. At the age of 17, Luffy sets sail from East Blue with the goal of finding the legendary treasure known as the One Piece. Along the way, he forms the Straw Hat Pirates, starting with Roronoa Zoro, a swordsman he rescues. Together, they face off against notorious pirate crews of East Blue.
As their adventure continues, Luffy's crew expands. They are joined by Nami, a skilled navigator, and Usopp, a sharpshooter, who together acquire the Going Merry ship from Usopp’s friend. Sanji, a talented cook, also joins the crew. Their journey leads them into increasingly dangerous waters, where they must confront dangerous pirate factions. Later in the series, more members join the crew, including Tony Tony Chopper, a reindeer doctor; Nico Robin, an archaeologist hunted by the government; and Franky, a cyborg shipwright. Eventually, the Straw Hat Pirates replace their damaged ship with the Thousand Sunny. With new crew members like Brook, a musician, and Jinbei, a former Warlord of the Sea, they take on some of the world’s most powerful enemies including the Four Emperors, bounty hunters, criminal organizations, revolutionary armies, and the World Government itself.


9. Naruto
Naruto follows the journey of Naruto Uzumaki as he matures and becomes stronger alongside his friends, all while navigating the world of ninjas. The story emphasizes the relationships between them and how their pasts shape their personalities. Naruto's first companions are Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura, two young ninjas of his age, who are assigned to a team under the supervision of the experienced sensei, Hatake Kakashi. Throughout the series, Naruto meets many other characters, learns new techniques, and uncovers secrets about other villages. The series emphasizes character growth, with very few random events. Initially, the story focuses on Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, members of Team 7.
As the story progresses, other characters develop as well, such as Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya, along with Naruto’s peers from other villages. The narrative also introduces antagonists, starting with Momochi Zabuza, a rogue ninja from the Hidden Mist Village, and his companion Haku. Later, the story features Orochimaru, a rogue ninja who is wanted by the Hidden Leaf Village, and his loyal aide, Yakushi Kabuto, during the Chūnin Exams. In Part II, Sasuke leaves the Hidden Leaf Village to join Orochimaru, and Naruto resolves to bring him back on his own. The plot thickens as the mysterious organization Akatsuki begins hunting Naruto to capture the Nine-Tails Fox sealed inside him.


10. Death Note
Death Note is an anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Ohba Tsugumi, with illustrations by Obata Takeshi. The story centers around Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student who finds life dull and becomes disillusioned with the crime and corruption plaguing the world. His life changes when he stumbles upon a mysterious notebook called the Death Note. The instructions in the notebook state that anyone whose name is written in it will die. At first, Light doubts the legitimacy of the notebook, thinking it's just a prank.
However, after using the Death Note to kill two criminals, Light becomes convinced of its power. With his newfound belief in the notebook's abilities, he begins to devise a plan to create a utopian world free of crime. Initially, he uses the Death Note to eliminate criminals in Japan, but soon expands his reach to international criminals as well.
