1. Friendship
Unlike the happy endings in 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love,' 'Friendship' tells a much more bittersweet story of teenage love. This film is a rare collaboration between Mario and Apinya Sakuljaroensuk (the sly Lee from 'It’s Not You, It’s Your Friends'), and their chemistry on screen is undeniable. The plot follows Signha, who receives a call from an old high school friend inviting him to a reunion. As they reconnect, memories from their school days flood back, and Signha begins to reminisce about his first and only love, Mituna, a new student who had transferred to their school.

She despises Gun, believing he was responsible for her brother's death. However, as the story unfolds, both Name and Song come to understand the real Gun, and their feelings for him evolve. The film is based on the Thai folk legend of the ghost Mae Nak Phra Khanong, but with added humorous and touching elements that captivate the audience. While everyone knows Nak is dead, Mak remains blissfully unaware, continuing to live happily with his ghostly wife. Meanwhile, Mak’s friends try every possible way to reveal the truth to him, leading to a series of hilarious situations. The two live happily ever after. The film grossed 1 billion Baht (over 33 million USD), making it the highest-grossing Thai film at the time.
