2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (original English title: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows) is a 2016 American sci-fi action-comedy film directed by Dave Green, written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on the characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This sequel to the 2014 film features returning stars such as Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Will Arnett, Brian Tee, Tyler Perry, Brittany Ishii, Laura Linney, and William Fichtner. Filming began in New York City on April 27, 2015. The movie premiered in theaters on June 3, 2016, in 3D, RealD 3D, and 4DX formats, following the same release strategy as the previous installment.
After Shredder is defeated and imprisoned, the lives of the four ninja turtles return to normal as their heroic deeds are credited to Vern Fenwick. During this time, the Foot Clan plans to break their leader out of prison, but the turtles are determined to stop them. In the process of the rescue mission, a secret portal pulls Shredder away, leading to the failure of the turtles' intervention.
Shredder is transported to an alternate dimension via the Technodrome, a giant machine controlled by a warlord named Krang. Krang persuades Shredder to help him conquer Earth by finding pieces of a signal transmitter scattered across the globe. After reaching an agreement, Krang sends Shredder back to the Foot Clan. However, Krang is already plotting to betray Shredder once the mission is complete.
Meanwhile, Shredder contacts Dr. Stockman, the scientist working for the Foot Clan, to gather the pieces of the transmitter. Unable to perform the task himself, Shredder enlists two criminals, Bebop and Rocksteady, who are mutated into powerful animals by Stockman for the job. During the chase, a police officer named Casey, suspended after Shredder's escape, follows the trail of Bebop and Rocksteady, discovering their involvement with the Foot Clan. Alongside April O'Neil and the turtles, Casey decides to help stop Shredder and his crew from collecting the pieces of the signal transmitter.
Despite their efforts, the turtles fail to stop Shredder's team, and they are arrested by the New York police. This gives Shredder the opportunity to open a portal to Krang's dimension. However, during further negotiations, Shredder is betrayed by Krang, who freezes him and locks him away. Following the signals from the transmitter pieces, Krang sends the Technodrome into the heart of New York City. The turtles, realizing the gravity of the situation, decide to head to the center of the Technodrome's assembly. There, they clash with Krang.
With Donatello's technical expertise, the turtles manage to reverse the signal and send the Technodrome back to the alternate dimension, taking Krang with it. Once again, the turtles triumph over the forces that threatened New York as the Foot Clan's plans are thwarted.

3. This Is 40
This Is 40 is a 2012 American romantic comedy film written and directed by Judd Apatow, starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. Serving as a 'spin-off' of Apatow's 2007 film *Knocked Up*, the movie focuses on married couple Pete (Rudd) and Debbie (Mann), whose relationship becomes more complicated as they approach their 40s. John Lithgow, Megan Fox, and Albert Brooks play supporting roles.
The film was shot in mid-2011 and released in North America on December 21, 2012. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances, particularly those of Mann, Rudd, and Fox, as well as the film's humorous moments and sensitive scenes. However, it was criticized for its overlong runtime and occasional lack of direction. In March 2022, Apatow confirmed that a third film, titled *This Is 50*, is in early development, set 10 years later.
Five years after *Knocked Up*, Debbie owns a fashion boutique where Desi and Jodi work for her. Pete runs his own recording studio, with friends Ronnie and Cat on board. After talking to their friends Jason and Barb, Debbie decides to focus on improving her marriage and family by getting into fitness and reconnecting with her father. She tells Pete to stop lending money to his father, Larry, since it's draining their finances. Pete tries to talk to Larry but ends up agreeing to lend him more. Meanwhile, Debbie visits her gynecologist, only to discover she's pregnant but chooses not to tell Pete. She later confronts a student, Joseph, who made fun of Sadie on Facebook. The student's mother, Catherine, has a heated argument with Pete.
One night, after a confrontation at school, Debbie takes Desi out to a club where she plans to confront her about stealing money from the store. While there, they meet some players from the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. One of the players expresses interest in Debbie, but she reveals that she's married with two kids and is pregnant. Debbie then confronts Desi about the stolen money, and Desi confesses that she's a prostitute. Debbie later meets Jodi, who admits she stole money to buy Oxycontin. After firing Jodi, Debbie and Pete must handle the ongoing conflict between Sadie and Charlotte, leading to a meeting with the school principal. They deny all accusations from Catherine, and the principal ends up firing them for using inappropriate language.
At Pete's 40th birthday party, the couple argues about Pete's father asking for money. Debbie gets into a heated argument with her father about his perfectionism. Later, Pete overhears Debbie talking about her pregnancy, leading him to storm off on his bike. After a confrontation with a car driver, Pete is punched in the stomach. Debbie and Larry rush him to the hospital, where Larry and Debbie reconcile, with Larry realizing that Debbie is the key to holding the family together. Pete and Debbie later talk and reconcile, with Pete expressing his excitement about their third child and their renewed connection.

5. Friends with Kids
Friends with Kids is a 2011 romantic comedy film written, produced, and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt, who also stars in the lead role. The movie features a talented cast including Adam Scott, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd, Megan Fox, and Edward Burns.
The story centers on long-time friends Jason (an advertising executive) and Julie (a philanthropic investment advisor) who are both in their 30s and live in the same Manhattan building. They share a close friendship with two couples: Alex and Leslie, who are calm and childless, and Ben and Missy, who are obsessed with sex. Over the next four years, as both couples have children, Jason and Julie's bond is tested. After a chaotic birthday party for Jason in Brooklyn, the two discuss the idea of having a child together before they find their romantic partners, reasoning that time is running out. They agree to have a baby without any romantic feelings for each other and continue dating other people to find 'the one.' Though their friends predict disaster, Jason and Julie surprisingly adapt to parenthood much better than expected.
As Jason and Julie begin dating again, they form new relationships with actress Mary Jane and divorced father Kurt. While on a couples' winter vacation in Vermont, Ben questions their parenting and life choices. After a heated argument, Ben criticizes their arrangement, leading to tension between him and Missy. Jason defends his decision, insisting that he loves Julie and sees her as the right person to start a family with.
After returning from Vermont, Ben and Missy separate and later divorce. At Julie's birthday dinner, around 18 months after Joe's birth, Jason is shocked when Julie invites him alone. She confesses that Kurt’s desire for her to meet his children made her realize she loves Jason, who, along with Joe, has become her closest family. Jason is stunned, admitting that he never saw their relationship as romantic and was planning to move in with Mary Jane. Heartbroken, Julie leaves the dinner and moves out of her Manhattan apartment to Brooklyn, distancing herself from Jason. Months later, Jason and Mary Jane break up due to differing views on children, and both Jason and Julie start dating other people. During a night out at a bar with Ben, Jason admits he has feelings for Julie, but their complicated history makes acting on those feelings impossible. Ben disagrees, observing the difference between Jason's longstanding friendship with Julie and his own more superficial relationship with Missy.
