1. Hanoi - Amsterdam High School
CallHanoi - Amsterdam High School was built with the support of the citizens of Amsterdam (Netherlands) in the 1980s. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training decided to develop this school into a specialized model. The first academic year of the school was 1985. It specializes in training students with special talents and good intellectual abilities.
The school's education is divided into two blocks: High School and Middle School. The school's teaching staff is divided into 7 subject groups: Chemistry - Biology - Physical Education, Mathematics, Social Studies, Chemistry, Literature, Foreign Languages, and Physics. In addition, the school also has a team of intern teachers.
Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the academic year 2021 - 2022 enrolled approximately 200 students for 5 classes in grade 6. The school's admission method combines both selection and assessment of competence. Students participating in the selection process must go through 2 rounds: Round 1 is the initial selection and Round 2 is the test and competence assessment. In Round 1, students who meet the school's specified conditions and have an initial selection score of 137 or higher are eligible for Round 2. In Round 2, students must take 3 tests, including Mathematics, Vietnamese, and English. Based on the total score of both rounds, the school will admit students from highest to lowest.
In addition, the school also accepts some transfer cases approved by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training for special reasons. The school temporarily stopped enrolling grade 6 students in the dual-degree program along with other public middle schools in Hanoi as the trial period has ended. Regarding the middle school program, the school provides students with knowledge from textbooks while expanding their knowledge. After studying for the first 2 years in grade 6 and completing grade 7, all students take the quality classification exam. The exam will evenly distribute grade 7 students into 5 eighth-grade classes: specialized in Math (Math 1 and Math 2), specialized in Literature, and specialized in English (English 1 and English 2).
Born and developed during the renovation period of the country, for nearly 40 years, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School has created a right direction, a strong development atmosphere to enter the 21st century, truly deserving to be a national key high school, on par with international standards!
