The 2022 Hyundai Accent is locally assembled and distributed by Hyundai Thanh Cong (TC Motor) with 3 variants: 1.4 MT Standard, 1.4 MT, 1.4 AT, and 1.4 AT Special Edition.
After 8 months, the Hyundai Accent reaches its second peak in 2022. The sales volume in September for this B-segment sedan reached 2,879 units, an increase of 1,707 units from the previous month. As a result, Hyundai Accent climbed 4 spots in the top 10, rising to the top of both the overall market and the B-segment sedan sales chart in September. The Hyundai Accent is equipped with a 1.4L engine, 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, priced from 426.1 to 542.1 million VND.
2. Mitsubishi Xpander - 2,416 units
On June 13, 2022, Mitsubishi introduced the mid-cycle refresh of the Xpander, the company's flagship model in Vietnam and the best-selling MPV in the segment for many years. The 2022 Xpander comes in 4 versions: MT, AT, AT Premium, and Cross, with prices ranging from 555 to 688 million VND, imported from Indonesia.
In September, the sales of this model reached 2,416 units, down by 426 units compared to August. This decline caused the Xpander to drop from its leading position in the market the previous month to the third position, losing the throne of the affordable MPV segment to its direct competitor, the Toyota Veloz. In the upgraded version, Mitsubishi Xpander has 3 variants: AT, AT Premium, and Cross, with prices ranging from 555 to 688 million VND.
3. Toyota Veloz - 2,572 units
Toyota Veloz is a compact 7-seater MPV, a premium variant of the Toyota Avanza. The 2022 Veloz is the completely new second generation introduced at the GIIAS 2021 exhibition in Indonesia from November 11-21, 2021. The 2022 Toyota Veloz features a more modern design, spacious interior, and many convenience features. It was officially launched in Vietnam on March 22, 2022, with 02 variants including the Toyota Veloz Cross and Toyota Veloz Cross Top. The 2022 Toyota Veloz competes with rivals such as the Suzuki XL7 and Xpander Cross in the compact 7-seater MPV/SUV segment.
In September, Toyota Veloz sold 2,572 units, an increase of 1,117 units compared to the previous month. This growth helped Toyota Veloz surpass the Mitsubishi Xpander for the first time to become the best-selling affordable MPV in the market. The price of this model was increased by 10 million VND in August, reaching 658-698 million VND, the highest in the affordable MPV segment.
4. Hyundai Creta - 1,735 units
Hyundai Creta 2022 is available in Vietnam with 03 configurations including Standard, Special, and Premium. The car is imported from Indonesia. Competitors in the market include the Kia Seltos, Honda HRV, Toyota Raize... In June 2022, with sales reaching 830 units, Hyundai Creta ranked 7th in the Top-selling cars of the month.
With 1,735 units sold in September, up 318 units from the previous month, Hyundai Creta stands at 5th position. Despite dropping one spot, this is still considered a success for this model as it rises to the top of the B-segment SUV sales chart for the first time since its launch in April 2022. This is also the fourth consecutive month that this model has appeared in the top 10 best-selling cars. Hyundai Creta is distributed in 3 versions including Standard, Special, and Premium, with prices of 620 million, 670 million, and 730 million VND respectively.
5. Toyota Vios - 2,393 units
The 4th position belongs to Toyota Vios with sales of 2,393 units in September, an increase of 1,273 units compared to the previous month. This improvement in ranking, however, is not sufficient for Toyota Vios to reclaim the top spot in the B-segment sedan category from Hyundai Accent - a model with stable performance.
The 2022 Toyota Vios is distributed officially in Vietnam in the form of locally assembled units with all 6 variants: 1.5E MT 3 airbags, 1.5E MT 7 airbags, 1.5E CVT 3 airbags, 1.5E CVT 7 airbags, 1.5G CVT, and GR-S, priced at 483-635 million VND. Compared to its competitors, the Toyota Vios is larger than the Kia Soluto, slightly bigger than the Hyundai Accent, but smaller than the Honda City. These dimensions make the Toyota Vios compact enough to maneuver comfortably in the city while ensuring spacious interior space.

Hyundai Grand i10 is an A-segment car manufactured since 2007 in India. Its second generation was introduced in 2013 and quickly became a bestseller in the Indian market as well as in Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam. The latest generation of Hyundai i10 began distribution in Vietnam in 2013 with both hatchback and sedan variants. In July 2017, the car underwent a mid-life upgrade and shifted to local assembly. This event led to a decrease in the price of the Hyundai i10. From then on, the i10's sales saw impressive growth, consistently leading its segment and making it into the top 10 best-selling cars in the entire market.
With VinFast Fadil almost abandoning the race, Toyota Wigo and Honda Brio disappearing from the market, and the appeal of the Kia Morning diminishing, the Hyundai Grand i10 has become the top choice in the A-segment car group. The sales of this model reached 1,124 units in September, an increase of 778 units compared to the previous month. This helped the Hyundai Grand i10 reclaim its position among the top-selling cars after 7 months of decline, becoming the most popular A-segment hatchback in the market. The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in sedan and hatchback variants, equipped with a 1.2L engine, priced at 360-455 million VND.

However, Ford Ranger has demonstrated that it remains the 'king' in the pickup truck group in Vietnam by immediately showing strong sales growth in September, up 1,543 units compared to the previous month. In the new generation, Ford Ranger offers 6 variants: XL 2.0L 4X4 MT, XLS 2.0L 4X2 MT, XLS 2.0L 4X2 AT, XLS 2.0L 4X4 AT, XLT 2.0L 4X4 AT, Wildtrak 2.0L AT 4X4, priced from 659-965 million VND.

In 2013, the Honda City officially entered the Vietnamese market, relatively late compared to its counterparts but garnered significant consumer interest thanks to its modern features. The B-segment SUV achieved sales of 1,119 units in September, a decrease of 447 units compared to August. This decline has caused the Corolla Cross to drop from 2nd place to 8th place, thereby losing its throne in the segment to the Hyundai Creta. The current price range for this model is 746-936 million VND.
10. Hyundai Santa Fe - 998 units

In the Vietnamese market, the Hyundai Santa Fe reigns as the king of the 7-seater SUV segment, consistently making it to the top 10 best-selling list. The 4.5th generation of this model was quickly brought to the country in May 2021, further enhancing its competitiveness and consolidating its leading position.
In December 2021, the Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Motor Company (HTV) decided to streamline its lineup by discontinuing two variants, the 2.5 Special Petrol and the 2.2 Special Diesel, reducing the number of Santa Fe variants from 6 to 4. Additionally, they added the Smart Cruise Control feature and automatic distance-keeping with the front vehicle for the Premium variant. Despite the reduction in variants, the sales of the Hyundai Santa Fe remained impressive, with 12,160 units leaving the dealerships, making it the best-selling 7-seater SUV and the second-best performing product across the brand, ranking 8th in the top 10 best-selling cars of the year. The price of the Santa Fe ranges from 1.03 billion to 1.34 billion VND.
