1. The Muse of Hue
The natural beauty and grace of the muse from Hue, Ngoc Tran, inspired composer Ho Hoai Anh to pen the song 'The Muse of Hue,' which is beautifully performed by the talented singer Thuy Chi.
Ngoc Tran first gained attention during the 2016 Miss Vietnam pageant. After a brief hiatus to complete her studies at Hue University of Science, she graduated in early 2018 and quickly returned to the spotlight with the cultural collaboration project 'The Muse of Hue.' This program highlights the beauty of Hue's people, as well as its culinary, cultural, and tourism treasures. After nearly a year of filming at Hue's iconic locations, the show will premiere on international flights.
Ho Hoai Anh shared, 'I love Hue. It's a romantic land full of poetry. Watching the trailer for 'The Muse of Hue,' I was mesmerized by the poetic beauty of the city's landscapes and captivated by the elegant charm of Ngoc Tran, her soft smile behind the conical hat. It's gentle and simple, yet mysterious, and that's what drew me in. The lyrics and melody began to flow through my mind.'
'Swaying with the life of the moment,
Swaying with the beauty of the muse,
Swaying, seeing flowers smile at someone,
Coming here, you hear life so carefree.'
'I softly say, how lovely,'
'The long traces of the winds carry.'
'Who do you love, to remember?'
'I send it into the days of sway...'

'The lonely Ngự Bình gazes at the Perfume River,'

Do you still remember the old áo thơ?
Is Hue so sad now, my dear?
Is Hue so sad now, my dear?

Though years have passed and the road is cold and long.'

Come back to warm the moonlight of our vows...'

'Where have gone the final words of farewell?'

The bridge is sinking into the shadows,
The boat waits, dreaming of visitors from distant lands,
The streets are silent, deserted by all.'
The ancient capital stands in silent sorrow...'

8. Rain on Hue's Streets
Hue, with its dreamy charm, has always been an endless wellspring of inspiration for literature, music, and art. Drawing from this well, composer Minh Kỳ crafted the song Rain on Hue's Streets to reflect his deep connection to his roots.

This song has been wonderfully interpreted by many singers, but there is something truly special about Quang Lê's rendition. As a son of Hue, his deep affection for the land and his sweet, Huế-accented voice breathe life into the song, capturing its poetic soul with authenticity and depth.
'This evening, rain falls on the streets of Hue,
The wandering life has no destination,
Yet the rain keeps falling, endlessly,
Filling my heart with thoughts of you.'
'The day we parted still lingers here,
The Perfume River flows as before,
But love has gone, lost in the wind and rain,
My eyes filled with tears, long and short...'

The crimson petals of the Phoenix flowers falling on the schoolyard,
Your figure walking in harmony with the spirit of Hue,
So I go... searching for you...'
