1. Ung Buou Hospital
Ung Buou Hospital is the first hospital in Vietnam specialized in detecting and treating diseases related to tumors, both malignant and benign. Established in 1985 through the merger of three units: Ho Chi Minh City Tumor Hospital, Vietnam Cancer Institute, and the Tumor Department of Binh Dan Hospital, it has become one of the leading hospitals in the country in cancer treatment and control. Over 35 years of development, Ung Buou Hospital has participated in numerous multicenter, multinational research studies and has implemented Immunotherapy and treatment for small-cell lung cancer patients with clinical cases. Additionally, the hospital has launched projects for screening and treating various common cancers such as breast cancer, lung cancer, and liver cancer. The hospital is led by Dr. Pham Xuan Dung, a specialist with a Ph.D. degree, and four deputy directors: Dr. Dang Huy Quoc Thinh, Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Dr. Diep Bao Tuan, and Dr. Le Anh Tuan, all of whom are leading experts in the field of tumors and cancer in Vietnam. In October 2020, Ung Buou Hospital Branch 2 in District 9 officially commenced operations to meet the increasing demand for healthcare services from the people.
