1. Dream of the Flower
Dream of the Flower follows the story of Zhao Pan Ni, a tea house owner in Hangzhou, who, upon hearing that her fiancé, Ou Yang Xu, ranked third in the imperial exams, is heartbroken when he suddenly calls off their engagement. Determined to challenge her fate, she travels to the capital to seek justice. Along the way, she aids her dear friend, Song Yan Zhang, who has been tricked into an unhappy marriage, and saves Sun San Niang, a woman on the verge of suicide due to her tragic marriage.
When Ou Yang Xu learns that Zhao Pan Ni has arrived in the capital, he tries every method to keep her away. Undeterred, Zhao, Song, and Sun decide to stay in the capital and build a life for themselves. After facing countless obstacles and struggles, the three women rise from their humble tea house to become the largest tavern in the city. Through hardships, Zhao Pan Ni learns to let go of her resentment toward Ou Yang Xu and discovers the power of women's equality in an ancient society.
