1. Seoul National University (SNU)
Seoul National University (SNU) is South Korea's first national university and serves as a role model for all other universities in the country. Renowned for disciplines like law, electrical engineering, and biotechnology, it boasts a faculty of up to 1800 professors. It is considered the most prestigious university in South Korea, with the belief that stepping into this institution ensures a bright future. SNU has extensive international partnerships with renowned institutions worldwide such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, and collaborations with over 700 research institutes in 40 countries. The university is a popular choice for many international students, with around 100 Vietnamese students currently studying and researching here. Regarding scholarships, SNU offers scholarships for students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in previous semesters. Upon admission, students can receive scholarships for up to 8 semesters. Additionally, international students invited to study in Korea with a government invitation are exempt from tuition fees or eligible for partial reductions.
Seoul National University has agreements with more than 700 academic institutions and international organizations in over 40 countries, including the World Bank, the University of Pennsylvania, and Washington University in St. Louis. The Business School has dual-degree programs with Duke University, ESSEC Business School (France), Hitotsubashi University (Japan), and Yale University, offering exchange programs in business administration, science, and Ph.D. with universities in ten countries across four continents. In line with the global university requirements of the South Korean government, the number of international professors peaked at 242 people, or 4% of the total in 2010, but has since decreased. Seoul National University, specifically the undergraduate liberal arts academy, originated from what remained of the Imperial University of Keijo - one of the universities established by Imperial Japan during the occupation of the Korean Peninsula. In the 1940s, according to Military Regulation No. 102 of the Main Hall of the U.S. Army in Korea, Keijo had to be dissolved. Subsequently, under the temporary unification of the surviving assets along with nine other academies and specialized schools, the comprehensive agency was re-established as Seoul National University under the Seoul National University Act passed by the National Assembly of South Korea.


2. Hanyang University
Hanyang University is located in the capital city, Seoul, South Korea. It is the first university in the country to offer a 4-year training program with the ideal education of 'honesty, integrity, diligence, and philanthropy.' In a global university ranking report by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2008, Hanyang University was placed in the range of 303-401. Currently, Hanyang has 20 majors, 92 departments, 15 postgraduate training disciplines, 2 affiliated hospitals with 1,600 beds, and 43 research institutes across both campuses in Seoul and ERICA. The total enrollment is 36,000 students, including 9,400 master's degree students. Full-time faculty includes 1,120 professors, and there are 2,260 part-time lecturers, assistant professors, and over 1,140 teaching assistants. The Korea Industrial Technology Research Institute, LG Innotek, and the Korea Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electronics are all located at the ERICA campus and in the near future.


3. Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)
The KAIST Institute of Science and Technology was established in 1971, located in the city of Daejeon, South Korea. It is the country's first university specializing in scientific and technological research. KAIST consistently ranks among the prestigious universities not only in Asia but also globally. 4. Korea University

6. Kangwon National University (KNU)
Kangwon National University is situated in the city of Chuncheon and is one of the 10 major universities in South Korea. Originally established as an agricultural college, Kangwon National University gradually expanded into a comprehensive university covering a wide range of academic disciplines. 10. Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)
POSTECH is renowned as one of the top universities in South Korea.
