
Exquisite Custard Green Bean Buns
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- A pinch of pink salt
- 1 teaspoon yeast (no need to activate)
- 50 ml formula milk
- 3 tablespoons organic wheat flour
For the filling:
- 1 tablespoon peeled green beans
- 1 tablespoon thot not syrup
- 40 ml formula milk
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 egg yolk
Method:
1. Warm up formula milk, dissolve yeast and salt for 5 minutes. Then add wheat flour into a clean bowl, knead until smooth. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 1 hour.
2. Filling: Steam and crush green beans, mix with syrup. Separate an egg yolk, mix with cornstarch and formula milk, then add to the green beans mixture. Stir well and cook over low heat until the mixture thickens. Turn off the heat.
3. After 1 hour, the dough has risen. Flatten the dough and shape it into the desired shape. Steam for 20 minutes to get incredibly fragrant and delicious buns.
