Then, use a small and sharp knife to cut the dough into square pieces with each side about 2.5cm long. If you have cookie cutters with different shapes, feel free to use them to shape the cookies!
- Step 4: Place a non-stick pan on the stove, add vegetable oil, and heat over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the cookies in the pan. While frying the cookies, flip them frequently to ensure even browning on both sides. Once the cookies are golden brown, remove them from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Muffin cakes are not only loved by children but also appear in cafes or as accompaniments while enjoying tea.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour: 150g
- Baking powder: 8g
- Salt: 2g
- 1 egg
- Unsweetened milk: 110ml
- Sugar: 80g
- Raisins: 100g (optional)
- Vegetable oil: 42g
- Vanilla extract: 4ml
Instructions:
- Step 1: Prepare the egg and milk (if in the refrigerator, bring them out to room temperature), and prepare the cake molds. Set the oven temperature to 180°C with both upper and lower heat.
- Step 2: If you have raisins, wash them to remove the outer sugar layer and drain. This step will help the raisins stick to the cake batter and not separate when the cake is baked.
- Step 3: Dry mixture: Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a bowl and mix well until homogeneous.
- Step 4: Wet mixture: In another bowl, mix together the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
- Step 5: Sprinkle a little dry flour on the raisins, toss well, or use your hands to mix so that the flour sticks evenly around the raisins.
- Step 6: Add the raisins to the dry flour mixture, then slowly pour in the wet mixture. Mix the batter gently, quickly, and decisively to blend the ingredients together. During mixing, be careful not to overmix the batter; it should take about 10-15 seconds. Only pour 2/3 of the batter into the molds; do not overfill.
- Step 7: Fill the batter into the molds, not completely, but only about 2/3 - 3/4 full to allow the cakes to rise evenly and beautifully. If you fill the batter too full, it will overflow during baking and ruin the shape of the cakes.
- Step 8: Bake the cakes at 180°C for about 20 minutes. To test the cakes, insert a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the cakes are done. Remove the cakes to a rack to cool slightly before enjoying. Cakes stored in an airtight container can be used for up to 3 days.

Especially, you don't need a microwave; you can steam it using a rice cooker or gas stove. This is an easy-to-make, easy-to-eat dessert suitable for both kids and adults.
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 500ml fresh milk
- 100g white sugar
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 100ml water
- Tools needed: pot, spoon, whisk, molds...
Instructions:
- Step 1: Make caramel
First, put 50g sugar in a pot, then add 100ml water. The water will evenly moisten the sugar, preventing it from sticking to the pot's walls and crystallizing back. Put the pot on the stove over medium heat, during cooking, no stirring is needed. If the sugar color is uneven, simply lift the pot and shake gently to even it out. When the sugar turns into a beautiful amber color, add lemon juice and turn off the heat. Quickly coat the molds with a thin layer of caramel (about 1 tablespoon) prepared in advance. - Step 2: Separate 5 egg yolks, beat them lightly but not until fluffy. The weight of egg yolks (excluding shells) is about 200g, if using small-sized eggs, adjust the recipe accordingly.
- Step 3: Pour 500ml fresh milk and 50g sugar into a pot, stir gently in one direction until the mixture is dissolved. Put the milk pot on the stove and heat until warm but not boiling. This step is crucial to avoid bubbles in the cake. Heat until you can feel the warmth on your hand over the pot's mouth.
- Step 4: Pour the warm milk mixture slowly into the egg yolks while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Then, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir until fully dissolved. Strain the mixture through a sieve 1 – 2 times to remove any air bubbles, ensuring the cake is smooth and not lumpy after steaming. Pour the egg and milk mixture into the caramel-coated molds. Note that you should not fill the molds to the brim, only about 3/4 full because the cake will expand when cooked.
- Step 5: Steam the cake
