1. Comedian Công Lý
Life around us would be so dull without comedians who bring joy and laughter to everyone. One of those beloved figures is Công Lý, a comedian cherished by my entire family.
When we talk about Công Lý, it’s impossible not to picture a man with a slightly round face, large, dark eyes, and a charming mouth that moves expressively with every word. He typically keeps his hair short, sometimes even shaven, but occasionally, he appears with long hair down to his neck. However, audiences find him most entertaining when he dresses up as a woman, wearing a long curly wig that adds to his humor.
His hands, like any other man’s, are nothing extraordinary, but his comedic talents make them seem almost magical. On stage, his hands move gracefully with every gesture and line, making each performance even more dynamic. Công Lý impresses audiences with his refined acting, sharp wit, and ability to evoke both laughter and thoughtful reflection. There are moments when his performances even bring tears of emotion.
Throughout his career, he has played a wide variety of roles, but none have made such an impact as his portrayal of Bắc Đẩu in the annual New Year’s Eve show 'Táo Quân – Gặp Nhau Cuối Năm'. In this role, Công Lý not only makes the audience laugh with the character’s sharp tongue but also entertains them with beautiful songs, performing traditional folk tunes and other familiar songs.
His humorous actions, sarcastic voice, and skilled gestures make him a standout performer. Every New Year’s Eve, my family eagerly anticipates the 'Táo Quân' show to enjoy the comedic sketches and see Công Lý perform. He has been in the entertainment industry for many years, and his career is vast, having brought laughter to so many people. Everyone knows him, and no one forgets such a talented and passionate artist.
Watching his sketches allows the audience to forget the worries of everyday life and relax after stressful moments. I truly admire and appreciate Công Lý, a legendary comedian in my heart and in the hearts of many others. I hope he remains healthy and continues to spread joy through his performances.

2. Comedian Hữu Phước
They say a smile is the best medicine. This old saying reminds us to live joyfully, love others, and cherish life. I enjoy watching comedy shows on TV, especially 'Gala Cười', a collection of hilarious skits that poke fun at society's flaws, human relationships, and modern living in a progressive world.
One memorable skit, 'One Second Speed, A Lifetime of Stammering,' starring Hữu Phước, had me laughing uncontrollably. He’s one of my favorite comedians, without a doubt.
Hữu Phước has a tall, slender figure, and his performances are graceful and dynamic. His serious face, thick eyebrows, and mustache add to his commanding presence. His stage attire is simple, but it perfectly highlights the character he portrays.
His delivery is uniquely witty, capturing the audience’s attention with each pause, tone shift, and carefully timed line. Whether his gestures are innocent or cunning, they leave the audience in fits of laughter. His performances always elicit applause, and his impeccable timing makes every joke land perfectly. I believe that to be a true artist, one must have talent and passion for their craft. They must live the character they embody, whether it’s a hero or a villain. I have great respect for performers like Hữu Phước, who bring joy to the audience like a refreshing tonic.

3. Comedian Xuân Bắc (Part 2)
There are many comedians I admire, but the one I like the most is Xuân Bắc.
Xuân Bắc has a well-balanced physique, though I find him a bit on the lean side. His face is angular with a sharp nose and deep-set eyes. What stands out most to me is his ever-present smile. There's something about his appearance that gives him a clever and humorous aura that's hard to describe. When he appears on TV, he often wears brightly colored outfits that make him stand out and grab attention.
Xuân Bắc is famous nationwide for his comedic talent. Every skit he’s in guarantees uncontrollable laughter, often to the point of tears. Whenever there’s a comedy performance featuring him on TV, my family and I drop everything just to watch and laugh. He is admired by audiences from the north to the south because of his natural gift for comedy. But he doesn’t just excel at acting – he’s also a lively host and a great singer.
I particularly enjoy the show “Đuổi hình bắt chữ” on Hanoi TV every Saturday night because Xuân Bắc is the host. During the show, he engages with the audience, mixing exciting moments with witty and humorous remarks, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for both the participants and the viewers.
What’s even more impressive is his singing. I first discovered his voice while watching “Gặp nhau cuối tuần” on VTV, where he and other actors performed the song “Bà tôi.” His singing talent really surprised me, and I now know that he has a wonderful voice.
I truly admire Xuân Bắc’s talent. I hope he continues to achieve even greater success in his artistic career.

4. Comedian Minh Vượng
For the past week, we’ve been eagerly waiting for Thursday. According to the school schedule, we were going to watch a play at the Youth Theatre. The performance had begun, and the entire theatre erupted in excitement. Applause thundered when the beloved comedian Minh Vượng – the entertainer for children – took the stage.
Minh Vượng rushed towards the audience, smiling widely and bowing, saying, 'Hello, children!' The whole theatre responded in unison, 'Hello, Miss Minh Vượng!' Then she turned to her fellow performer, comedian Hồng Kì, and with a mock sad face, she asked, 'Hồng Kì, how do you think Minh Vượng looks?' Before Hồng Kì could answer, Minh Vượng continued, 'I’m not old, am I?' Hồng Kì laughed and replied, 'No, not old at all. Right, kids?' The kids all shouted, 'Right!' Minh Vượng, still smiling, turned to us and said, 'If I’m not old, why call me 'Miss'? Call me 'Sister' instead! Now, let’s all greet together!' The kids cheered, 'We greet Sister Minh Vượng!' Applause followed like thunder.
Minh Vượng is a comedian at the Youth Theatre. She’s well-known for her performances that make the audience laugh until they cry. She’s also famous for her round, chubby figure. Her face is round with big, bright eyes and a smile that always looks cheerful. Her nose is slightly round, blending harmoniously with her face. Her arms and legs are equally plump. When she plays the character Bo-da, she looks even rounder.
Once, she dressed up as a ball – she was so round it was beyond description. She even has dimples on her cheeks, adding to her cuteness. During performances for children, she often wears shirts featuring cartoon characters, which makes her look even more adorable. Today, she wore a loose T-shirt with a large picture of the cartoon cat Doraemon on the front, along with a red scarf that made her look young and vibrant. Her performance was lively, and the whole theatre was buzzing with applause.
Minh Vượng is an idol for many kids in my class. A lot of my classmates dream of becoming comedians one day, hoping to bring laughter to people just like she does. I truly admire her.

5. Comedian Xuân Hinh (Part 1)
Fans of comedy often pass along the saying: 'Southern Hoài Linh, Northern Xuân Hinh,' referring to two comedians who have solidified their place in the entertainment industry, each representing their respective regions. My family comes from the North, so my father has always enjoyed watching Xuân Hinh's performances, which, without me realizing it, made me become a fan of this talented comedian as well.
Now over 60 years old, Xuân Hinh is not traditionally handsome. He is short, with a stocky build and a round, warm face. His eyes are bright and beautiful, with thick eyebrows above them. His mouth may not be conventionally attractive, but it carries a unique charm, which, combined with his facial expression, makes him always appear joyful and funny, instantly bringing laughter to anyone who sees him. Being from the North, his accent adds to his comedic appeal, particularly when delivering sharp, sarcastic lines that are a signature of Northern dialect. This natural accent alone leaves a lasting impression on the audience. People often know Xuân Hinh for his roles in comedy, where he plays poor or clever, mischievous characters. However, many forget that he is also an excellent singer. He was once selected to join the Bắc Ninh Quan Họ folk music troupe and later admitted to Hanoi’s University of Theatre and Cinema. Xuân Hinh has excelled in various traditional music forms such as chèo, cải lương, and chầu văn, leaving his mark in each. He is truly a versatile artist. Over his lifetime, Xuân Hinh has been recognized twice as an Outstanding Artist and has been honored by the U.S. government for his efforts in preserving and developing Vietnam’s traditional arts. Despite his fame and success, Xuân Hinh does not want to be called 'The King of Northern Comedy' or 'Comedy Legend.' He prefers to simply be called 'Xuân Hinh,' a name that has accompanied him since his early career, reflecting his humble, down-to-earth nature and dedication to his craft.
I deeply admire Xuân Hinh, and I hope he remains healthy to continue producing meaningful and impactful works, dedicating himself to the preservation and development of our national art, just as he has always dreamed.

6. Comedian Xuân Hinh (Part 2)
Every year, on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, the people in my village eagerly gather to celebrate the spring festival. This year is special: the village's temple has been renovated, and we’ve achieved several milestones in local community efforts. Thanks to sponsorship from several businesses and the local government, this year’s festival invited the famous comedian Xuân Hinh—someone I’ve admired for a long time. He’s a proud son of Bắc Ninh, and everyone feels immense pride whenever his name is mentioned. The best part for me was finally getting to see him perform live, far more engaging than on TV.
In the days leading up to the event, I, along with the youth from our village, worked tirelessly preparing the stage. It was set outdoors, in the newly renovated temple yard. As evening approached, the soft glow of lights led all the way from the gate to the stage, filling the air with a mystical, festive atmosphere. The flags fluttered under the cold breeze left from the last winter chill, giving the scene an air of reverence mixed with excitement, as everyone eagerly awaited the performances. The stage was buzzing with activity: large lights, speakers on each side, and balloons that we carefully arranged around the venue, making everything more grand and vibrant than ever. As nightfall approached, families began to arrive early to grab the best spots. Elderly villagers, looking youthful and full of energy, arrived with the children. The long-awaited moment finally came when Xuân Hinh appeared from behind the stage, and the crowd erupted in cheers. He wore a vibrant red, modernized áo dài with beautiful peach blossom embroidery—perfect for the festive atmosphere! I had seen him perform and sing on TV since I was little, but seeing him in person, he appeared darker under the stage lights, and the subtle wrinkles around his eyes became visible. His hair was neatly trimmed, highlighting his round, kind face. His bright white teeth were always ready to flash a warm smile at the audience. That night, he didn’t appear as the ‘King of Northern Comedy,’ but rather as a beloved son returning home, singing traditional songs that moved the hearts of many.
The performance began with the program host, a local teacher named Loan, gracefully stepping onto the stage in her elegant áo dài. Her warm voice filled the space, and the evening’s performances were full of emotion. Xuân Hinh stood on stage with his quan họ hat, singing traditional songs with heartfelt precision:
“Have you heard my song of parting,
Flowing like a love confession,
The Quan Họ songs steeped in homeland’s love,
Forever warming the hearts of those who cherish it.”
That night, Xuân Hinh didn’t perform any comedy but instead sang like a true artist. He serenaded us with a series of Quan Họ songs, such as “Sitting by the Boat,” “Guests Visiting,” and “The Lovely Bamboo Tree.” These were songs I had heard many times, but under his expert performance, I was completely captivated. The entire temple yard was silent, only interrupted by applause after each song. His eyes closed, fully immersed in the music, occasionally flashing his trademark comedian gestures, which made the crowd burst into laughter. He expertly maneuvered the microphone, raising and lowering it with finesse. The movements of his hat and his arms were in perfect harmony with the rhythm, just like a skilled folk singer. Occasionally, parents would offer roses to him, and he would graciously accept, giving the children warm hugs in return. The performance went on longer than expected, with Xuân Hinh singing several additional songs not originally planned. The music continued late into the night.
As the host, Loan, announced the end of the show, many people rushed to take photos with their idol. Among them were young and old alike, all eager to capture a moment with Xuân Hinh. He joyfully posed for pictures and gave affectionate hugs to the children. It wasn’t until near midnight that he hurried off to his car to prepare for his next workday. Only when he had left did the crowd start to disperse, the sounds of laughter still echoing in the temple yard.
That night was unforgettable. I had the chance to witness my idol perform live. Xuân Hinh will always be an artist I deeply respect, whether in music or film. The melodies he brought to our village temple that night are forever etched in my memory:
'My dear, don’t leave,
Stay and wait, I’ll be here…'

7. Comedian Hoài Linh
Vietnam is home to many talented comedians who bring joy and laughter to ease the stresses of daily life. Among them, I’m particularly impressed by Hoài Linh, one of the most famous comedians everyone knows and loves.
Hoài Linh’s background wasn’t easy—he came from humble beginnings—but this never dimmed his spirit or his ability to bring joy to others. His appearance is always simple and unpretentious, no matter what character he is portraying. This simplicity makes him feel relatable and approachable to his audience.
He’s not heavyset, but rather slim and appears quite thin. His hair is often kept long, reaching his shoulders, probably because he frequently plays female roles on stage.
When Hoài Linh performs, he can make you laugh uncontrollably, but there are also moments where he leaves you speechless, even bringing tears to your eyes. The lessons he weaves into his performances reflect his own life experiences, filled with both bitter and sweet moments.
Hoài Linh has a special talent for impersonating women. He’s able to mimic their look, gestures, and even their voices with incredible accuracy. Some people even joke that he’s more beautiful than many models. In terms of voice, he can impersonate accents from all over Vietnam—from the North, Central, coastal regions, and the Mekong Delta. I once watched him impersonate famous singers like Duy Khánh and Tuấn Ngọc, and the audience was left in awe, amazed by his versatility. His natural delivery, complete with cheeky remarks, always keeps the audience engaged and entertained.
Recently, I’ve heard that Hoài Linh’s health has been declining. There were reports that after performances, he sometimes needs help walking off stage. It’s hard to imagine that behind the laughter he brings to the audience lies so much personal sacrifice. This only increases the respect I have for him, as well as for artists like him who give so much of themselves for their craft. I truly hope he remains healthy, continues to bring laughter to the world, and finds joy in his work, knowing that he is deeply admired and respected by all of us.

8. Comedian Vân Dung
Every Saturday morning, my family eagerly looks forward to the 'Weekend Encounter' show on Vietnam Television. At exactly 10 AM, a familiar tune plays, and then a group of comedians steps forward, bowing to greet the audience. My little brother, Cu Bi, excitedly shouts, 'Look, it’s Vân Dung!' Comedian Vân Dung is a favorite in our household.
To greet the audience, she takes a walk around the stage. She’s tall and graceful, wearing a flowing four-part áo dài that moves with her every step. Her hair is styled into a traditional bun, and her movements are so comical that they instantly make you smile. Today, she’s in an especially quirky makeup—her lips and cheeks are bright red, and there’s a large beauty spot on her chin. It turns out she’s portraying Thị Mầu from the play ‘Thị Mầu Goes to the Temple’.
Usually, when I watch her perform, she plays an old woman or a strict, stern character. But today, she’s completely transformed. Her walk, her voice—all reflect the playful, flirtatious nature of a young noblewoman who’s fallen for a young monk. Her movements are full of charm and elegance, like a seasoned actress perfectly embodying her role.
As I watched her perform, I felt like I was watching a traditional Vietnamese opera, ‘Quan Âm Thị Kính,’ where Vân Dung’s portrayal truly brought the character to life. My family, without saying a word, clapped and cheered for her. It seemed like Vân Dung could feel our admiration, and her performance grew even more lively and graceful. Then, to my surprise, she started singing a traditional folk song with a voice so sweet and clear, I couldn’t believe my ears. This was the first time I’d heard her sing, and she was incredible!
After teasing her onstage lover, Thị Kính, she danced around the stage, fanning herself with a hand-held fan while holding a ceremonial tray in her other hand. My family and I laughed uncontrollably at the sight.
Vân Dung is a truly gifted comedian. With her acting, she brings joy and laughter to all of us. I hope we get to watch her perform every Saturday.

9. Comedian Xuân Bắc (Part 1)
When I’m not studying or after finishing my homework, my parents often let me watch comedy shows on TV. Out of all the shows, the ones with comedian Xuân Bắc are my absolute favorite. I’ve loved him since I was very young, and so does the rest of my family—everyone adores him.
Whenever it’s time for his comedy segment, my whole family eagerly watches, laughing uncontrollably at his hilarious and witty performances. My dad always praises Xuân Bắc for being a natural actor—funny, quick-witted, and charming. Every time I see him on TV, I rush to grab the remote, afraid someone might change the channel!
It’s not just me—many other viewers also clap and cheer whenever Xuân Bắc appears on screen. His presence guarantees a memorable, laughter-filled performance. My dad says that although he’s still young, Xuân Bắc is incredibly talented, able to win everyone’s heart with his charm and versatility. No matter the situation, he can always improvise with incredible skill and charisma.
I clearly remember watching him on the New Year’s Eve special 'Gặp nhau cuối năm.' Our whole family would gather around the TV, eagerly waiting for Xuân Bắc to appear. His unique style of acting and his smile made him stand out from other comedians, adding something special to every scene he was in.
His performances were always lively, with his mouth constantly smiling and his hands gesturing energetically. All the kids, including me, loved watching him perform. I wish one day I could meet Xuân Bắc in person, to see him perform up close and share even more hearty laughs.

10. Comedian Tự Long
Every Saturday evening, I get to enjoy a weekend relaxation show featuring comedians. The one I look forward to most is Tự Long, because he’s a gifted comedian who always brings laughter and joy to the audience.
Tự Long is quite youthful for his age, only 46, and although he’s not very tall, he has a fit and energetic build. His round face and neatly trimmed hair highlight his bright, intelligent eyes. What makes him even more lovable is his constant, charming smile, which makes everyone feel at ease around him.
Whenever Tự Long performs, he brings his characters to life, drawing the audience in with his clever humor and impressive acting skills. Not only is he a talented comedian, but he’s also an excellent dancer and singer. He incorporates all his skills into his roles, making each performance dynamic and multifaceted, whether through singing, dancing, or humor-filled dialogues.
Every gesture, glance, or movement from him adds energy to the show, and his expressive face amplifies the humor. Whether laughing, crying, happy, or sad, Tự Long’s performances are always perfectly natural, leaving the audience in awe and admiration. His presence on screen is unforgettable and leaves a lasting impression.
Tự Long will always be my idol. I hope that one day I can become a famous comedian like him. I will work hard to study well, so I can fulfill this dream.
