Spain leads the list of infamy, where taxi scams and pickpocketing are the two most common issues encountered by tourists.

Money.co.uk surveyed the opinions of 2,000 British tourists who visited Europe in the past 12 months regarding the scams and pickpocketing they encountered in these countries. According to real-life experiences of tourists, scams include pickpocketing, taxi scams, street scams, etc.

According to statistics, Spain is the country with the highest scam rate, with 21.5% of tourists being scammed. Next is France with 14.8% and Italy with 10.2%. Among the annoying incidents encountered by tourists, taxi scams are the most common, accounting for 37%, followed by 22.6% of tourists being pickpocketed in European countries.
