The Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum stands as a monumental edifice located along Highway 279, Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city. Inaugurated on May 5, 2014, after a construction period of 19 months, it's the most grandiose and modern structure in Dien Bien province to date. The museum, covering an area of 22,000m2, is dedicated to the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu, symbolizing significant historical, cultural, and architectural values. It's designed in a truncated cone shape, with decorations around it symbolizing the camouflaged net of a soldier's hat, consisting of a basement and a ground floor. The basement welcomes visitors with interactive learning spaces and entertainment services, while the ground floor displays dedicated exhibitions on the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu, including a panoramic space and working areas.
