In Vietnam's view, Ban Gioc consists of both the main waterfall and a secondary one, spanning over 200 meters in width. Ban Gioc is located on the Quay Son River, which originates in China and flows southwards, marking the border between the two countries before entering Vietnam at Pò Peo, in Ngọc Khê commune, Trùng Khánh.
