IZONE consists of 12 members, including Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minjoo, and Lee Chaeyeon. The group is co-managed by Off The Record Entertainment in Korea and AKS (management company of AKB48) in Japan.

The group released their debut mini-album, COLOR*IZ, with a sales volume of 45,000 copies on the first day, topping the Hanteo chart and surpassing the record held by I.O.I's Chrysalis (28,400 copies sold on the first day). The MV for La Vie en Rose became the most-viewed debut MV within 24 hours, amassing 4.5 million views.
