1. Starfield
Starfield stands as one of the most anticipated games, and it's no wonder why. Bethesda has crafted its empire with massive open-world RPGs. There's a reason why games like Skyrim still endure today—the meticulously designed world and the sense of freedom captivate the imagination.
In theory, Starfield seems like a logical continuation, a game expanding beyond a single planet through the branches of space. It would be fascinating to delve into Bethesda's agenda and see what can be gleaned from the game, from basics like image quality and performance to an overarching approach to technology and design. The introduction segment is displayed in native 4K resolution, but different scenes vary in resolution. Interestingly, the gameplay footage seems to lack any kind of refinement, so you'll get very sharp edges with aliasing visible throughout. Conversely, more cinematic TAA scenes are used similar to Fallout 4, which would be more fitting for what we'll see in the final product. Alongside the straightforward finesse, we can grasp the design goal of the development team by observing how Starfield handles open areas on the planet, inner space, character rendering, and ultimately outer space.
For instance, in an outdoor scene, we can see that the game has distant shadow casting, which is crucial for preserving details at a distance. This is one of the key issues that the game developers identified with Halo Infinite, and it's great to see that Starfield has a solution.

2. Ark 2
After a long wait, ARK 2 has finally made its official debut on Steam, the world's largest game distribution platform. This highly anticipated blockbuster is set to release in 2023. Ark 2 follows in the footsteps of Ark: Survival Evolved, a survival game featuring prehistoric creatures first released on PC in 2015.
Speaking briefly about the first installment, there's no need to talk about the realism and perfection of Ark: Survival Evolved—it's stunning, so beautiful that it blurs the line between game and reality. Rated as one of the top survival games in the world today, Ark can efficiently help you pass the time in moments of leisure. Inheriting and building upon the essence of the first version, Ark 2 was introduced at The Game Awards 2020. With the appearance of Hollywood star Vin Diesel, known for his role in The Fast and the Furious franchise, the game has garnered significant attention from the global gaming community. Ark 2 is a next-generation sandbox survival experience, so it's likely to resemble Ark: Survival Evolved in many aspects. In the introduction trailer, alongside familiar dinosaur species, players will also have to contend with the Morlock, a creature that is part human, part beast. However, Vin Diesel isn't just present in Ark 2 as an actor; he's actively involved in the game's investment and development process. According to Vin Diesel, he's a big fan of Ark: Survival Evolved and has spent over 1000 hours playing the game. Currently, Vin Diesel is also one of the producers of Ark 2.
To celebrate the launch of ARK 2, Studio Wildcard is currently offering the gaming community a special gift. That is the full version of Ark: Survival Evolved, 100% free. All you need to do is log in to Steam to download and play this game permanently.

3. Hytale
Hytale, a game crafted with adventure and creativity, combines an open world to provide players with an unlimited and exciting experience.
With new features for gamers to explore freely, Hytale promises to surpass Minecraft as the best sandbox game in the world. Despite being a project just announced, Hytale's YouTube channel has already attracted nearly 400,000 subscribers, with the game's trailer video garnering 56 million views. This indicates the immense anticipation for this game, even in its early stages. Now in Riot's hands, it's sure to become a blockbuster upon release, much like how Riot handled VALORANT. Essentially, Hytale is a project developed by Hypixel Studios and hasn't garnered much attention. However, when this studio was acquired by Riot Games and declared its intention to help Hytale compete on an equal footing with Minecraft, the game has indeed started to attract the attention of gamers.
Even though only the first few teasers of Hytale have been released to introduce the game, the game's allure is so great that the gaming community is constantly buzzing on the game's homepage. This could be the new contender and the big player capable of balancing with Minecraft.

5. Resident Evil 4 Remake
Resident Evil 4 is hailed as the best installment of the RE series since its release in 2005. As of now, we've had remakes of both Resident Evil 2 and 3, both of which received positive responses from the PC gaming community. And Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to be the next remake, with CapCom already releasing an official trailer that has garnered significant attention from horror game enthusiasts and PC gamers alike.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake will be launched for platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The remake will also come with a Deluxe edition. In this version, buyers will receive a range of new outfits, as well as 2 new weapons: the Sentinel Nine and the Skull Stalker. Based on the images, it can be seen that Leon's combat knife will play a larger role in combat. In addition to defending against the deadly attacks of chainsaw-wielding enemies, the knife can also be used as an offensive weapon, through upgrading its damage and durability. This will be a challenge that gamers will want to take on, completing the game using only the knife. We see Leon Kennedy searching for clues about the missing daughter of President Ashley Graham, and stumbling upon a dilapidated farm. Unlike the original version, this time the setting will be even more terrifying as it is set at midnight. After entering a creepy basement full of decapitated heads, Leon discovers that one of his police escort has died and hears through the radio that the other escort has encountered something terrible.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2023. If nothing changes, this will be the remake's release date similar to RE 2 and RE 3 Remake, both released at the beginning of the year.

6. Payday 3
The Payday game franchise, produced by Overkill Software, is a Co-op genre game. Payday was released by Daybreak in 2011 in the North American and European markets. Payday immerses players into a criminal world where they take on the roles of criminals and carry out daring bank heists. However, it doesn't stop at gunfights like other shooting games. Payday allows players to plan their own heists. This aspect has made Payday a household name in Europe.
The third installment of Payday is set to release in 2023, continuing the adventures of Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains in a series of epic heists. Payday first made its mark nearly a decade ago and provided players with a unique co-op experience compared to other shooting games. Introducing heist missions, the game offers diversity and high replayability with multiple approaches to objectives. This was later expanded upon in its sequel, with the community continuously developing and a huge array of diverse missions keeping players coming back for more. Additionally, Payday 2 has received interesting DLCs and continuous free updates. The game has also collaborated with various film IPs such as Scarface, John Wick, and Reservoir Dogs, while still receiving support almost nine years after its release. As such, Payday 3 is still in its early development stage, but it seems the game is in good shape. This was confirmed by the CEO of Starbreeze Studios, along with a developer of Payday 2.
With Payday 3 currently in its early development stage, there isn't much information ready to be disclosed, but Koch Media has provided a general summary for fans to rest assured and look forward to.

7. Off the Grid
lomkamp and Gunzilla have just released the first teaser trailer for Off the Grid, now confirmed to be a Battle Royale 2.0 with a sole focus on storyline. The cinematic teaser for Off the Grid is sure to immediately draw comparisons to Blomkamp's previous film works, especially Elysium.
The trailer depicts a soldier who appears to be the protagonist, with Deus Ex-style cyborg limbs. The soldier even has a sword attached to his right arm, and his gun hand looks cybernetically enhanced. It's evident that players in Off the Grid will be superhuman with special abilities. Additionally, the teaser also introduces the setting for Off the Grid. The teaser begins in a jungle area, but then transitions to a sprawling, ultra-modern cityscape. It's unclear how much of the map will be jungle and how much will be city, but it's clear the game will feature some skyscrapers for players to explore in Off the Grid. In the description for Off the Grid, Gunzilla Games confirms that the game falls into the cyberpunk battle royale genre. It's also confirmed to be a third-person multiplayer shooter developed using Unreal Engine 5. Other details that make Off the Grid a Battle Royale 2.0 experience are its player count, with matches accommodating up to 150 players, as well as real-time PvE story missions.
However, Off the Grid is still a battle royale game, meaning it will have standard online multiplayer features and gameplay mechanics, such as character upgrades and customization. However, Gunzilla Games was only founded in 2020, so there may be more aspects of Off the Grid to be unveiled in 2023.

After this initial look, Square Enix remained relatively quiet about the upcoming game, but in recent months, the company has started to focus on Final Fantasy 16 once again, revealing new details about the story, gameplay, and characters. Final Fantasy 16 is set in Valisthea, a magical world where crystal mountains known as Mothercrystals protect the peaceful and prosperous inhabitants. These factions include the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Kingdom of Waloed, the Dhalmekian Republic, the Iron Kingdom, and the Crystalline Dominion, whose conflicts have helped shape the divided regions on the map. Similar to some previous Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy 16 will feature summonable creatures, known in Valisthea as Eikons.
In Final Fantasy 16, Eikons can be controlled or manifested through specific individuals called Dominants, and players have seen their power in the Awakening trailer as Shiva's ice subdued the giant Titan on the earth.
