1. Nghĩa Thành Parish
The rural area of Nghĩa Trung (Nghĩa Đàn district, Nghệ An province) is home to two unique pink and purple-colored Catholic structures. While the pink church is a somewhat familiar sight to Vietnamese travel enthusiasts, the Nghĩa Thành Parish church in Nghĩa Trung offers visitors a different and more impressive experience with its purple hue.
Situated on a small hill surrounded by lush valleys, the Nghĩa Thành Parish church exudes a majestic purple charm. This structure is the church of the Xuân Yến parish, belonging to the Nghĩa Thành parish. Previously, this church had a distinctive gray color. After renovation and refurbishment, the Xuân Yến church was inaugurated in early July with a new coat of paint covering the entire structure. The church resembles a fairytale castle, making visitors feel like they've stepped into a magical land. The modern purple color blends harmoniously with the timeless architectural lines of the structure. In terms of color, it is no coincidence that the Xuân Yến parish chose the purple hue to adorn the new coat for the church. Besides its uniqueness and sophistication, the purple color also represents various other meanings in Catholicism.

4. Bảo Nham Stone Church
CallBảo Nham is a parish located in Bảo Nham district, about 40km northwest of the diocesan headquarters. Established in 1887, Bảo Nham is one of the earliest established parishes in the diocese. Bảo Nham Stone Church is entirely built of stone, with a architectural style heavily influenced by French design. Additionally, within the church grounds is another unique and peculiar structure, the Stone Statue of Our Lady of Lộc Đức. Bảo Nham Stone Church is built on an empty plot of land, covering an area of over 7,000m2 in the style of a Luoxo church, featuring Gothic French architecture. All materials used in construction are sourced from the mountains of Thanh Hóa province. Each stone, after being quarried, is meticulously cut to standard sizes and transported by waterway to Yên Thành, Nghệ An for construction.
Entering the interior of the sanctuary, visitors will perceive the solemn and magnificent beauty with sharp-pointed vaults resembling a half-rounded arch. To achieve this vaulted system, each large stone block is carefully carved, then assembled using modern techniques through multiple stages to become sturdy yet artistically demanding arches. Another impressive feature not to be missed is the stained glass windows depicting religious themes, images of saints, and apostles of Catholicism in shimmering, mystical colors under the sunlight. Additionally, at Bảo Nham Stone Church, there are also many whimsical animal statues decorating the grounds like a miniature park.
