Established by Decision No. 121/UB-QD dated February 15, 1990, by the People's Committee of Ben Tre Province, with the mission of identifying, training, and nurturing gifted and talented students for the province. On July 31, 1990, the Provincial People's Committee decided to name the school Ben Tre High School for Gifted Students, which was renamed to Ben Tre Specialized High School in 2006. In May 2015, Ben Tre Specialized High School relocated to a new campus, with an area of nearly 5 hectares in Phu Tan Ward. Established in January 1986, Tran Phu specialized school has become one of the top schools nationwide in achievements, training quality, and extracurricular activities. Each classroom is about 50 m2 with a system of windows and entrances ensuring sufficient light in case of power outage. Each room has 2 air conditioners, 12 to 14 double desks, and anti-glare boards. At the end of the class are cabinets for personal study items for each student. In particular, this is a school with extremely romantic and modern scenery. The walls are designed with winding rows of classrooms with wide and airy corridors. Connected to the rows of classrooms is a series of softly designed arc-shaped buildings. A large water fountain is artistically arranged close to the arc-shaped buildings, creating an ideal check-in spot for students. Near the main gate of the school is a green courtyard, a carpet of grass arranged around the school, interspersed between rows of buildings creating a cool space for students to immerse themselves in nature after stressful, tiring hours of study. Ha Long Specialized High School was established under Decision No. 115/QD-UB dated March 20, 1990 by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, starting operation in the academic year 1990 – 1991. The establishment of the specialized high school marked a significant turning point in the training of excellent students, creating a high-quality human resource for Quang Ninh Province. The construction project of Ha Long Specialized High School was approved for investment under Decision No. 742/QD-UBND dated March 5, 2007 by the Provincial People's Committee. The school was built according to national standard criteria to replace the old deteriorating and cramped school. The total construction area of the school is 17,253 m2, with the scale of construction items including: 2 three-story classroom buildings (each classroom building has 18 classrooms, with a floor area of 1,740m2); 1 three-story building including subject classrooms, laboratories, and library with a floor area of 1,428m2; 1 three-story administration building, with an area of 570m2 and other auxiliary works.
