1. Thanh Thuy Hot Spring
Thanh Thuy Hot Spring is located in La Phu commune, Thanh Thuy district, Phu Tho province. This newly discovered hot spring lies about 35 to 100 meters underground. The spring is formed from deep fissures in the earth's crust, releasing sulfuric mineral water along the Da River, stretching over a 1km area. The average temperature of the hot spring water ranges from 37 to 43°C, with a total capacity of 19.71 million cubic meters.
This mineral water contains chemical elements beneficial for treating bone and joint diseases, as well as skin conditions. Notably, it is rich in trace elements such as sodium, calcium, magnesium, and Radon—a rare and valuable substance ideal for soaking, health recovery, and healing.
The water not only helps with skin ailments but also promotes circulation, benefits the heart, and leaves the skin glowing and healthy. After soaking for just 30 minutes, all fatigue disappears, leaving one feeling incredibly relaxed and refreshed.
Thanh Thuy Hot Spring Resort is one of the few places with naturally occurring mineral springs. Visitors here can immerse themselves in the natural hot springs, enjoying moments of relaxation while connecting with nature.

2. Gioi Pond - Suoi Tien
Gioi Pond is located in Quan Khe commune, Ha Hoa district. The spring originates from Mount Na, the highest peak in Ha Hoa, and features several waterfalls, some of which reach heights of up to 20 meters, creating breathtaking views of the rugged landscape. The area is lush with tropical plants, including rare species like lim, dinh, and gold heartwood. Some waterfalls cascade into deep, clear pools, while others tumble over rocky terrain, creating a magical and picturesque atmosphere.
Stretching over 10 kilometers, the stream bed is covered with a layer of pebbles and golden sand, which purifies the water, making it crystal clear and sparkling under the sunlight. At the source of the spring, there is a 40m² pond known as the Fairy Well, over 10 meters deep, from which cool, sweet water springs forth to form the Suoi Tien (Fairy Stream). The stream winds its way through several layers, forming numerous waterfalls. Along the stream, there are 14 waterfalls, many taller than 20 meters, resembling sheer white curtains. Below the falls, massive rock formations in various shapes are named after animals and mythical creatures, such as Elephant Kneeling Stone, Tiger Stone, Dragon Throne, Heaven Gate, and Fairy Wings. This location is a popular tourist spot for both locals and visitors to Phu Tho.
Gioi Pond – Suoi Tien is part of a larger eco-tourism development in Phu Tho province. Despite its proximity to tourism, the area remains largely untouched, offering abundant potential for eco-tourism, relaxation, mountain climbing, camping, and scientific research.

3. Van Mo Waterfall
The waterfall with the poetic and gentle name Van Mo is located in Cu Thang commune, Thanh Son district. Many visitors are left in awe of its untouched beauty and the artistic atmosphere surrounding it, with trees, rocks, and rich flora and fauna surrounding the base of the falls. The waterfall has nine distinct levels, each interconnected in a harmonious flow between heaven and earth. At the highest level, visitors are greeted with a stunning double waterfall, resembling a watercolor painting. As you climb higher, the surrounding nature becomes more immersive, and the only sound you hear is the thunderous roar of the falls.
About 3km from the center of Cu Thang commune, you will reach Van Mo Waterfall along a gravel path. The sound of rushing water fills the air, like a secret whispered by a young maiden, while the stream flows beneath the mountains. The scent of earth and wildflowers fills the air, and the calls of forest birds echo nearby...
After exploring the landscape, visitors can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the stream and relax in the traditional stilt houses, enjoying the local delicacies of the mountainous region. Group activities can also be organized under the shade of the forest trees, or you can watch the birds fly by, returning to feast on the local fruits.

4. Lang Cave
Lang Cave is the largest and longest of the stalactite caves in Xuan Son, Thanh Son, Phu Tho. No trip to Xuan Son is complete without visiting Lang Cave, a natural wonder that captivates every visitor. The cave is deep inside Mount Ten, with its entrance facing the Muong Lang field.
Lang Cave is one of the most famous natural wonders in Phu Tho province, attracting thousands of tourists each year. The cave stretches along a large stream, with the cave walls often lined with golden sand and clay. The stalactites that have formed over millions of years take on a variety of shapes, resembling countless statues of Buddha. Some areas of the cave soar up to 15-20 meters high, with the same impressive width.
Inside the cave, the stalactites create an air of mystical beauty. The formations glitter with light, especially when the cave is illuminated by torchlight. Unlike other limestone caves, the stalactites here are a pristine white, some even shimmering with a pinkish hue. The cave is spacious, allowing visitors to explore it in groups and admire the mesmerizing sights.


5. Van Hoi Pond
Spanning over 200 hectares, with water depths ranging from 7 to 8 meters and reaching a maximum of 20 meters, Van Hoi Pond is a popular destination for many tourists. Located in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province, the pond’s waters are clear, pristine, and a refreshing shade of green, surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, hills, and forests from neighboring communes such as Quan Khe (Ha Hoa), Van Hoi, and Viet Cuong (Văn Chấn, Yên Bái), creating a picturesque landscape.
Visitors often rent boats to paddle around the pond, enjoying the fresh air and cool breeze. This is also a great spot for nature lovers to take in views of the rolling hills and lush greenery, with plenty of opportunities for stunning photos. The clean, crisp air of Van Hoi Pond provides an incredibly relaxing atmosphere, ideal for clearing the mind. Surrounding the pond are vibrant flowers that bloom year-round, adding even more charm to the scene. From a distance, the entire landscape blends together like a beautiful watercolor painting.

6. Long Coc Tea Hill
The lush green tea hills, stretching endlessly like layers of velvet cushions, create a breathtaking landscape that catches the eye of anyone passing by. One of the most famous tea hills in Phu Tho is Long Coc Tea Hill in Tan Son. This area is also ranked among the most beautiful tea hills in Vietnam. Long Coc Tea Hill is located in Tan Son district, Phu Tho province, about 125 km from Hanoi and 70 km from Viet Tri city.
Standing atop the highest point of the hill, you will be greeted by the vibrant green of the tea leaves set against the vast landscape. The hill not only provides materials for tea production but also offers a stunning natural vista, blending seamlessly with the lush green mountains surrounding it. 7. Cloud Waterfall
Alongside the other destinations, Cloud Waterfall is another must-mention location. This famous spot is a popular destination for young adventurers and travel enthusiasts when visiting Phu Tho. You’ll certainly feel that every step you take here is worth it. Cloud Waterfall is located in Huong Can commune, about 25 km from the center of Thanh Son district. The waterfall consists of 13 small and large falls, with the highest being the Thượng Waterfall, where powerful streams of water create a misty white spray.
The crystal-clear waters form a breathtaking natural scene that captures the hearts of all who visit. The name alone evokes images of a serene and picturesque environment. Visitors to this site can immerse themselves in the untouched beauty of the surrounding forest. Cloud Waterfall is surrounded by lush green mountains, teeming with diverse flora and fauna. What makes this place even more special is its international appeal, attracting tourists both from within Vietnam and from overseas.

8. Historical Site of Hung Kings Temple
The most famous tourist destination in Phu Tho is the Hung Kings Temple Complex, located on Mount Nghia Linh in Hy Cuong commune, Viet Tri city. The temple was built in the 15th century and is said to be the site where the eldest son of Lac Long Quan and Au Co ascended to the throne, taking the title of Hung Kings and naming the country Van Lang. As a significant historical and cultural heritage of the nation, the Hung Kings Temple is an impressive architectural complex situated on Mount Nghia Linh, at an elevation of 175 meters in Hy Cuong commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho province.
The Hung Kings Temple Complex consists of several structures, including the Lower Temple and Pagoda, the Well Temple, the Middle Temple, the Upper Temple, and the tomb of the Hung Kings. Visiting the site, tourists can admire the intricate architecture, the sculptures, and the grandeur of the buildings, all nestled among towering ancient trees...

9. Ao Chau Lake
Ao Chau Lake is located across several communes, including Ha Hoa Town, Am Thuong, Y Son, and Phu Khanh in Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province. It is situated 80 km from Viet Tri city and 150 km from Hanoi. The lake is easily accessible by both land and water routes along the Hong River, and by train along the Hanoi - Yen Bai - Lao Cai line. From the map, Ao Chau resembles the head of a buffalo with two horns stretching out toward the Thao and Lo rivers.
Ao Chau covers an area of approximately 2 square kilometers and is home to around 100 islands of various sizes, each covered by a dense and diverse vegetation. The highest point reaches 177 meters above sea level. Situated in a valley surrounded by low hills, Ao Chau has a unique shape. On the map, it resembles a buffalo’s head, with its horns stretching towards the Thao and Lo rivers.
The water level in Ao Chau remains consistently deep, around 3 meters, with some areas reaching up to 35 meters, ensuring that the lake never runs dry. As a result, Ao Chau’s waters are clear, unpolluted, and home to a variety of aquatic species, such as snakehead fish, golden turtles, and soft-shelled turtles. The local people also cultivate many fruit-bearing trees, including jackfruit, grapefruit, longan, and lychees, further enhancing the charm of Ao Chau.
Ao Chau offers ideal conditions for eco-tourism activities, including boating, fishing, and hiking, catering to both domestic and international tourists. Often referred to as the Halong Bay of Phu Tho, Ao Chau is an emerging and promising tourism destination in the land of the Hung Kings.

10. Xuân Sơn Nature Reserve
The Xuân Sơn Nature Reserve is a stunning natural area located in Xuân Sơn commune, Thanh Sơn district. With an area of over 10,000 hectares, it is home to 314 species of higher plants across 115 families, including 52 species of conifers and cycads, as well as hundreds of animal species, including 190 vertebrate species, such as the golden snub-nosed monkey, the gray mongoose, the red-bellied squirrel, and the leopards. The birdlife is equally rich, with notable species like the pheasant and the rare white-headed eagle found here.
Xuân Sơn National Park is famous for its pristine beauty and rich biodiversity. Visitors can witness some of the northern region’s most beautiful forests, including the magnificent tropical rainforests, home to rare plant species such as the Rau Sang, chestnut, and magnolia trees.
In addition to its diverse flora and fauna, Xuân Sơn boasts breathtaking landscapes, with three peaks rising over 1,000 meters above sea level: Mount Voi, Mount Ten, and Mount Can. The park also features hundreds of caves, rivers such as the Lap River and Thang River, and waterfalls reaching heights of over 50 meters. The Silver Waterfall, in particular, blends harmoniously with the lush green mountains, creating a mystical and awe-inspiring scene. Exploring the caves, visitors will be amazed by the strange formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Xuân Sơn is considered one of Phu Tho’s most promising eco-tourism destinations.
