1. La Vie en Rose (2007)
La Vie en Rose portrays the life of the late, legendary French singer Édith Piaf. From a young age, Édith faced hardship—her mother left in pursuit of her passions, abandoning her with a grandmother who was heavily addicted to alcohol, while her father, a soldier, was absent for much of her childhood. After her father’s return, she was placed with her grandmother, who ran a brothel. Growing up in severe poverty, Édith struggled to survive, performing acrobatics with her father.
At 17, she experienced her first and only pregnancy, which ended tragically with the death of her child. Despite her natural talent for singing, she was little known beyond her neighborhood until she met Louis Leplée, who discovered her while she was performing on the streets. This encounter marked the turning point in her life and career. Édith’s destiny was forever altered as she fell deeply in love with Marcel Cerdan, a legendary boxer. She loved him with all her heart and gave herself completely to her passions and her career. However, fate struck when Cerdan died in a plane crash, leaving her devastated. She spiraled into addiction to alcohol and morphine, and eventually succumbed to liver cancer at the age of 47.

Jesse wrote a book about their brief encounter, while Celine kept their memories hidden in a song. During those nine years, they each spent some time in New York, perhaps even crossing paths unknowingly in the bustling city, which seemed an unlikely place for a love story to unfold.
By fate, they meet again in Paris, the romantic city of love. Jesse is now recovering from a failed marriage, while Celine has lost her faith in love.
