1. Utilize Baking Soda
Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), is a white, water-soluble powder with excellent moisture-absorbing properties. Widely used in the food industry, baking soda is not only beneficial for skin care and treating blackheads but is also featured in many toothpaste formulations as a secret to achieving whiter teeth. Therefore, you can effectively use the baking soda method for teeth whitening at home.
Procedure: Wet your toothbrush, dip it in baking soda, wet the powder, and brush your teeth as usual. Ensure the brush angle is suitable for cleaning both the gums and the spaces between your teeth. Gently brush for 2-3 minutes, then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Repeat approximately once a week, and you'll observe the effectiveness of this teeth-whitening formula.

2. Try the Toasted Bread Method
Eliminating tartar with toasted bread is a highly effective yet lesser-known method. Toasted bread contains a significant amount of activated charcoal, which efficiently cleans plaque, removes bacteria, not only aiding in tartar removal but also contributing to overall dental protection.
Procedure: Toast a piece of bread until charred, scrape off the charred portion, then mix it with toothpaste and brush your teeth as usual.
Note: This method should be performed daily for quick results. You can store the unused charred bread in a sealed bag in the refrigerator for future use.

3. Try Banana Peel
Banana peels, often discarded and overlooked, surprisingly have fantastic benefits for teeth whitening and tartar removal. The peel contains vitamins, minerals, and natural teeth-whitening agents, providing a whitening effect without affecting tooth enamel.
Procedure: Tear the banana peel into strips, about 3-4 cm wide. Opt for ripe bananas, as they have more fiber. Rub the inner side of the banana peel back and forth multiple times, especially on discolored areas and areas with tartar. Keep it for about 5-10 minutes, then use a dry toothbrush to brush several times. Finally, use toothpaste as usual.
Note: Practice this method daily for an extended period to see noticeable results. Tartar removal with banana peels takes longer than baking soda but is absolutely safe for your teeth.

4. Opt for Brown Sugar
Brown sugar is not just a spice; it's also an effective and safe method for tartar removal. It contains glycolic acid and amino acids, effectively breaking down tough plaque and restoring strong and healthy teeth.
Procedure: The simplest way is to swish brown sugar in your mouth and hold it for about 15-20 minutes. Use your tongue to push the sugar particles deep into the gaps between your teeth. Saliva, combined with brown sugar, helps dislodge the plaque. Then, rinse your mouth vigorously and repeatedly to remove the buildup.
Note: If you have minimal tartar, perform this once a day. For more buildup, diligently repeat in the morning and evening for quicker results!

5. Opt for Vinegar
Using vinegar for teeth whitening and tartar removal is a well-known method. Vinegar contains acetic acid, providing gentle whitening and eliminating tartar. It's a simple way you can try at home.
Procedure: Use vinegar for mouth rinsing in the morning or evening for about 2-3 minutes. The acid in vinegar removes old plaque and prevents the formation of new plaque. Another method is to mix vinegar, salt, and toothpaste into a paste for regular brushing.
Note: Use traditional rice vinegar to ensure safety, be cautious with industrial vinegar.

6. Use Shells of Various Dry Seeds
Perhaps everyone knows that dry seeds like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews, etc., provide a wealth of vitamins and minerals to the body. However, not everyone is aware that the shells of these seeds, seemingly useless, can effectively whiten and remove tartar. These shells contain a relatively large amount of antibacterial substances, helping break down tartar structures and eliminate plaque.
Procedure: Clean the shells, boil them in clean water for about 15-20 minutes, then remove the shells. Each time you brush your teeth, soak the toothbrush in this water for 5-10 minutes, then brush your teeth as usual.
Note: This method is very safe for teeth but quite slow in effectiveness, requiring patience over an extended period.

7. Use Orange Peels
Introducing another type of peel you can use to remove tartar at home. Similar to orange, orange peel contains a good amount of amino acids and vitamins, helping to break down plaque and providing effective teeth whitening.
Procedure: After peeling, retain the orange peel, preferably fresh and rich in essential oils. Dry the orange peel until it becomes stiff and crisp. Grind the dried orange peel into powder, mix it with toothpaste, and brush your teeth as usual.
Note: Store the orange peel powder in a sealed glass container to avoid moisture and mold. Perform this routine twice a day for noticeable results.

8. Use Sugarcane Bagasse
Procedure: To remove tartar with sugarcane bagasse, simply eat and chew sugarcane as usual. The chewing action will allow the bagasse to rub against the plaque, helping to dislodge these deposits. You can use the remaining bagasse to continue rubbing and whiten your teeth.

9. Use Chalk
This method may seem quite unusual to many people, perhaps reminiscent of the image of older women with blackened teeth from chewing betel nuts. However, the blackened teeth are not caused by chalk; on the contrary, chalk has antibacterial properties, removes plaque, and promotes dental health.
Procedure: Add a quantity of chalk to a bottle with pure alcohol, preferably rice alcohol. Shake well to obtain a silver-white solution. Use this solution for mouthwash, swish for about 5 minutes, perform twice a day (morning and evening) to soften and dislodge plaque.

10. Use Salt and Lemon Peel
Lemon peel, baking soda, and sea salt are all ingredients known for their teeth-whitening and tartar-removing properties. When combined, these three ingredients create a mixture that provides highly effective teeth cleaning.
Procedure: Thinly slice, finely chop, or grind lemon peel, mix it with salt, baking soda, and a little warm water to create a paste similar to toothpaste. Use this mixture instead of toothpaste for teeth whitening and the removal of stubborn plaque.
Note: Both lemon peel and baking soda have the side effect of damaging tooth enamel with frequent and prolonged use. It's recommended to use this method only twice a week!
