Apply cold spoons to your eyes
Reducing eye puffiness with cold spoons works similarly to cold compresses but is slightly simpler. Prepare 2 spoons and place them in the freezer for about 5 - 10 minutes or in cold water beforehand. Then, take out the spoons and gently press them onto both sides of your eyes until they warm up. If you have time, you can freeze all 6 spoons. Replace with a new pair when the old ones warm up. Limit to a maximum of 3 applications to avoid damaging the skin from prolonged exposure to cold. However, pay attention to the coldness of the spoons and avoid keeping them on the skin for too long (you should apply cold spoons to the skin for 10 - 20 seconds each time and repeat several times) as the skin around the eyes is quite delicate.

Apply cold towel to your eyes
This method has similar effects to reducing eye puffiness with cold water, but applying a towel will help soothe swelling more effectively and a little faster. Therefore, if you have time, it is advisable to apply this method. The procedure is very simple, we use a soft cotton towel soaked in cold water or wet towel, squeeze out excess water, put it in the fridge and then use it to cover the eyes for 5 - 10 minutes. The low temperature and the sensation of cold will cause the blood vessels to contract, thereby minimizing swelling. Many people often apply cold tea bags to swollen eyes. This method is effective simply because of the cold temperature. On the other hand, many doctors also suggest using black tea, green tea or other herbal teas. However, these types of teas have not been studied and caffeine - the seemingly most effective component - does not have an effect. Using a cold towel also provides similar results and poses less risk of bacterial infection. Additionally, you can also use cold compress bags or frozen pea bags which provide similar effectiveness. You can make your own cold compress bag by filling rice into a sock and then putting it in the freezer. Avoid using bags of crispy vegetables that are too large because they cannot move flexibly around the eye area.

Gentle Massage for Eyes
Lie down and elevate your head: Place 2-3 pillows underneath to elevate your head higher than your body. Keep your neck straight, close your eyes, and relax. Resting for a while also helps lower blood pressure.
Massage along the bridge of the nose: Close your eyes and massage along the bridge of the nose. Focus on the skin on both sides of the nose, where glasses rest. This method can help reduce sinus pressure buildup when you cry.
Gently tap on the eyes: Use your ring finger to gently tap on the swollen eyelid area, which can help increase blood circulation and disperse accumulated blood around the eyes. First, use your ring finger to lightly tap on the under-eye area and then gently pull from the inside out to assist in draining water. Repeat these steps for the upper eye area until you feel satisfied.

Apply cold moisturizer and eye cream - Apply eye mask
Place facial moisturizer in the fridge for about 10 minutes and then gently apply it to the skin. The coldness will help reduce swelling, while the cream helps soften and brighten the skin tone.
There is still much debate about the efficacy of specialized eye creams. It is not yet clear whether specialized eye creams are more effective than regular facial moisturizers. Avoid using creams with fragrances or mint as these ingredients can irritate the skin.
Additionally, you can also apply a dedicated eye mask to reduce swelling and dark circles if you have enough relaxation time, which is also an effective solution. When applying moisturizer or applying a mask, it is necessary to combine gentle massage to relax the eyes and reduce mild swelling and redness.

Use rose water instead of eye mask
Rose water has the ability to soothe the skin, minimize irritation, and reduce eye swelling quite effectively. To use them, simply soak a cotton pad in rose water and apply it to the eyes. If you want to enhance the effectiveness, try chilling the rose water before use.

Use egg whites
The skin-drying properties of egg whites can help us improve swollen, puffy eyes. After cleansing the skin, beat the egg whites evenly and apply around the swollen area of the skin, wait until they show signs of drying, then wipe off and wash the face with cool water. However, be sure not to let raw egg whites get into the eyes as it can be dangerous.

Use specialized eye roller
Eye rollers or roll-on devices work very well in reducing temporary eye puffiness and bags caused by toxin buildup by stimulating the immune system. Additionally, it can also soothe and enhance the firmness of the skin around the eyes with moderate and safe pressure. For more benefits, you can use it in combination with eye cream.
