1. Hasselblad H4D 200 MS: $45,000
The medium format DSLR Hasselblad H4D-200MS builds upon the success of the company's H4D-50MS, adding multi-shot technology to capture stunning 200MP images. This mode involves taking six photos to combine them into a single image with extraordinary detail and exceptional quality. The 50MP sensor is paired with a Hasselblad-patented symmetrical multi-shot frame, which precisely positions the sensor with micrometer accuracy using a voltage-actuated drive mechanism. The H4D 200MS uses this sensor technology to convert six images into a 200MP file with minute shifts between each shot. This camera is aimed at professional photographers, particularly those in still life photography where subjects remain stationary for the duration of the six shots. However, the steep price tag of $45,000 makes it unaffordable for all but the wealthiest photographers.

2. Seitz 6×17 Digital: $43,000
Swiss camera maker Seitz created the world’s first and only 6×17 digital camera, known as the Seitz 6×17 Digital. The fastest shutter speed is 1/2000 second, with a minimal scan time of just 1 second per full-resolution 6×17 image. Additionally, the camera comes with high-end Schneider lenses, as well as Linhof or Fuji 617 lenses. Thanks to its high resolution and outstanding image quality, large-scale prints can be produced without the need for stitching. However, you’ll need deep pockets to afford one, as the Seitz 6×17 Digital carries a hefty price tag of $43,000.

3. Panoscan MK-3 Panoramic: $40,000
