1. Khe Kèm Waterfall - Con Cuong
Khe Kèm Waterfall, also known as the Kèm Waterfall, is a pristine natural wonder located in Pù Mát National Park. It lies about 20 kilometers south of Con Cuong Town in Nghe An Province. Many scientists who have studied the site confirm that Khe Kèm is one of the most untouched waterfalls in Vietnam.
The local Thái people refer to the waterfall as Bổ Bố, meaning 'white silk'. From the base of the waterfall, visitors can see a continuous flow of crystal-clear water cascading down, creating a curtain of frothy white mist that resembles a long piece of flowing silk. Amid this mystical white landscape, you’ll find a transparent stream, cool and refreshing, accompanied by the songs of various birds and the laughter of the local ethnic girls.
On both sides and above the waterfall, a lush vegetation thrives, with flowers blooming year-round. Each season brings a different flower, making it feel as though you’ve stepped into a vast floral garden. At the foot of the waterfall, a stream flows through smooth, flat stones, creating natural resting spots. There are small ponds of varying depths that form a picturesque landscape. During the summer, the temperature near the waterfall remains a pleasant 20°C, providing a cool escape. From a distance, the landscape is as beautiful as a traditional ink painting.
The local Thái cuisine is a must-try during your visit. Some popular dishes include grilled chicken, grilled fish, skewered meats, five-colored sticky rice, buffalo horn-shaped cakes, chẩm chéo, lam rice, wild herbs, and homemade herbal wine. All these dishes are expertly prepared by the talented Thái chefs from the area.

2. Sunflower Field - Nghia Dan
In recent years, the sunflower field in Nghia Dan has become a popular tourist destination, attracting not only locals from Nghe An but also visitors from across the country. The journey from Hanoi to Nghia Dan takes approximately 5-6 hours by car. There are regular buses departing from major bus stations in Hanoi such as Giap Bat, Nuoc Ngam, and My Dinh, with a one-way ticket costing around 170,000 VND. Once you arrive in Nghia Dan, you can take another bus, taxi, or rent a motorbike to Nghia Son, where the sunflower field is located. Alternatively, if you’re traveling by motorbike, you can follow the Ho Chi Minh Road, which takes about 4-5 hours (240 km) to reach the sunflower field directly.
When you visit the sunflower field in Nghia Dan, you’ll be transported to a magical world filled with millions of vibrant sunflowers. The field stretches over 30 hectares, with rows upon rows of sunflowers that allow you to pose for photos to your heart’s content. In addition to being a source of raw materials for production, this sunflower field has become a stunning natural landscape, harmoniously blending with the mountainous environment of Nghia Dan.
When visiting the sunflower field, don’t forget to bring your camera gear. You can even rent a ladder to capture wide-angle shots of the entire field. Girls, remember to pack a few stylish dresses for those perfect photo opportunities amidst the flowers. Admission to the sunflower field is free, but please refrain from picking flowers or breaking branches. Also, be mindful of cleanliness and park your vehicles properly to avoid traffic congestion.

3. Tham Om Cave - Quy Chau
Quy Chau, known for its beautiful landscapes and rich historical and cultural heritage, is an ideal destination for those who wish to explore the cultural values of different ethnic groups and immerse themselves in nature. When talking about Quy Chau, Nghe An, one cannot miss Tham Om Cave. Scientifically, this is believed to be the earliest settlement of ancient Vietnamese people.
Tham Om Cave is located in Quy Chau District, Nghe An, and is considered one of the most spectacular natural caves formed by diverse geological processes. Situated in the towering limestone mountain range of Quy Chau, about 7 km from Route 48, Tham Om is a remarkable natural cave, retaining its primitive beauty with rugged stone walls and unique formations.
Archaeologists have discovered stone and bronze artifacts, as well as fossilized animal bones and teeth, in the cave. This evidence proves that ancient Vietnamese people inhabited the cave about 200,000 years ago. The findings have shown that the Tham Om people were among the earliest inhabitants of Vietnam. The cave is still in its raw state and is currently being renovated to welcome tourists.

4. Truong Bon Historical Site
Truong Bon Historical Site is one of the most attractive destinations in Nghe An Province, and even across the country. Located in My Son, Do Luong, Nghe An, Truong Bon has overcome significant challenges since its establishment in 2014. With the support of dedicated management, the site has grown into one of the country’s top spiritual tourism destinations. This is evident by the continued attention and investment from the government, local businesses, and individuals.
Thanks to its effective visitor reception and constant innovation, the site has seen an increase in the number of tourists coming to pay respects and learn. According to statistics, since its founding, Truong Bon has hosted thousands of visitors. In 2018 alone, the management team served 172,832 visitors. Even in the sweltering heat of central Vietnam, nearly 15,000 people visited in May 2019 to honor the fallen soldiers at Truong Bon. Notably, visitors come not only from within the province but also from other regions of Vietnam and even from overseas.

5. Bai Lu Resort - Nghi Loc
Bai Lu Resort is an upscale ecological tourism site located in the northeastern part of Nghi Loc District, Nghe An, across the two communes of Nghi Yen and Nghi Tien. 7. Pu Xai Lai Len Summit
Along with other notable destinations, Pu Xai Lai Len Peak is certainly a must-mention location. It's a famous spot for adventurers, especially those young travelers who enjoy exploring when it comes to tourism in Nghe An. Visiting here, you’ll surely feel it’s all worth the effort. The name itself partly captures the artistic and majestic nature of this place, surrounded by towering mountains amidst mystical clouds.
In recent years, many people have been attracted to cloud hunting or enjoying panoramic views of valleys and hills from the high ridges, and Pu Xai Lai Len Peak is an ideal spot for that. This peak is a stunning photography destination in Nghe An, a perfect place to capture nature’s masterpiece with your camera. Pu Xai Lai Len is a mountain in the northern part of the Annamite Range, standing tall on the Vietnam-Laos border. It’s often compared to Tà Xùa in Western Nghe An.

8. Sen Village - Birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh in Nam Dan
Sen Village is located in Kim Liên Commune, Nam Đàn District, Nghe An Province, a land full of sun and wind in Central Vietnam. Over half a century has passed, but countless people from across the nation have visited this sacred place with deep reverence and emotion. It is one of the four most significant national heritage sites dedicated to the beloved leader of our nation, and a source of immense pride for the people of Nghe An.
When you visit Sen Village, you will first encounter a large lotus pond at the entrance of the village. After passing the pond, you'll find the Cốc Well, where young Ho Chi Minh used to fetch water, fish, and play with his childhood friends. Beyond the cool shade of bamboo groves, you will see the modest five-room house with a thatched roof, where his father, Nguyễn Sinh Sắc, once lived. Cửa Lò is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, located in Cửa Lò Town, Nghe An Province, about 16 km northeast of Vinh City and over 300 km from Hanoi. Cửa Lò Beach is long and wide, making it one of the most attractive beaches in the country. The Lam River flows into Cửa Hội, with powerful currents heading out to the South China Sea, carrying sediment that keeps Cửa Lò’s waters crystal clear all year round, allowing visitors to see the sand beneath the waves. Located in the Lao Wind Tourist Area, Village 8, Thanh An Commune, Thanh Chuong, Nghe An, Thanh Chuong Tea Hill sits in the western region of Nghe An, where the climate can be harsh and dry, yet the atmosphere is refreshingly cool and breezy when you stop at the tea hill. Here, you can take in the breathtaking view of rolling hills blanketed by endless green tea plants and serene water lakes reflecting the tea fields. The clean, crisp air at Thanh Chuong Tea Hill is perfect for unwinding and clearing your mind.
