Top Gun: Maverick is a dramatic action film set in a contemporary world, centered around intense and thrilling aerial battles involving pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. However, Maverick also faces the rising threat of remote-controlled drones that pose new dangers in the skies.

3. West Side Story
West Side Story is the first musical directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg, and it was unveiled with a teaser trailer lasting over a minute during the 93rd Academy Awards. The film is also expected to be a strong contender for the 2022 Oscars.
Adapted from the 1957 Broadway musical, the story draws inspiration from William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Since its debut, it has become a Broadway classic and is considered one of the greatest musicals of all time.

4. Last Night in Soho
The psychological horror genre has recently exploded, with numerous highly anticipated films, including Last Night in Soho. This film features Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie, and director Edgar Wright.
Last Night in Soho tells the story of Eloise, played by McKenzie, a young fashion enthusiast who discovers her ability to travel back in time through her dreams. She explores the streets of West End, London, during the 1960s. However, things take a strange turn when Eloise transforms into Sandy, a beautiful singer played by Taylor-Joy. As the boundaries between past and present blur, Eloise finds herself caught up in thrilling and terrifying events.
Last Night in Soho is set to release in October 2021.

5. Old
Director M. Night Shyamalan, known for his blockbuster hits like The Sixth Sense (1999) and Split (2009), returns with the psychological thriller Old. This highly anticipated film is based on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters, with Shyamalan writing the screenplay.
Old begins with a seemingly perfect American family—parents and their two children—enjoying a peaceful vacation in a new location. However, their idyllic trip takes a dark turn when Trent, the young boy, discovers the body of a woman floating in the water while swimming.
The vacationers, including a young couple, some tourists, refugees, and the family of Prisca, gather together and immediately sense something is wrong. The corpse decomposes rapidly before their eyes. From that moment, strange and terrifying events unfold, threatening to unravel their peaceful island retreat.
Old is scheduled to release in July 2021.

6. Candyman
Candyman is an upcoming supernatural slasher film directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and DaCosta herself. The movie is based on Clive Barker's short story "The Forbidden" and serves as a sequel to the 1992 film.
The story follows graduate student Helen, who begins investigating local urban legends for her thesis. She uncovers the chilling tale of a spirit named Candyman, the vengeful ghost of a Black man who was murdered by a mob for falling in love with a white woman. His death was a brutal public execution, where bees were used to kill him after he was covered in honey. This haunting tale gave birth to the legend of "Candyman".
Candyman is scheduled to hit theaters in August 2021.

7. Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar
If you're a fan of comedy films, Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar is definitely one to look out for. Directed by Josh Greenbaum, the movie stars Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo in the lead roles.
The story follows two middle-aged best friends, Barb and Star, who leave their small Midwestern town for the first time to vacation in Vista Del Mar, Florida. There, they become involved in a series of wild adventures, romance, and a murderous plot orchestrated by a villain in the town.
Barb and Star Go to Vista del Mar is set to release in July 2021.

8. No Time to Die
No Time to Die, directed by Cary Fukunaga with a production budget of around $250 million, marks Daniel Craig's final appearance as James Bond. The film also stars Ana de Armas, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Harris, and Ralph Fiennes, among others.
The plot picks up after the harrowing events of Spectre, with Bond living in seclusion in Jamaica, leading a quiet and lonely life. However, his peace is shattered when an old friend from the CIA asks for his help. Bond reluctantly comes out of retirement, unaware of the danger that awaits him. A significant part of the story is the mysterious appearance of a broken white mask, signaling the entry of one of the most bizarre villains in the entire 007 series. The confrontation between Bond and this formidable adversary will unravel lingering mysteries and lead to a life-or-death showdown.
No Time to Die is scheduled for release in October 2021.

9. Black Widow
After a two-year absence from the big screen, Black Widow has created great anticipation among fans for its recent return. This film holds a significant role, marking the beginning of Marvel's Phase 4 in the cinematic universe. Even more notably, it is the first film Marvel has produced about a character who has already passed away.
The movie will explore Natasha's past, revealing a time when she had a happy family with her father and sister. However, she was kidnapped and trained to become Black Widow. The film will also delve into Natasha's legacy as Black Widow, taking over her role in the Red Room's spy training program.
Furthermore, the film will offer an explanation for Black Widow's decision in "Avengers: Endgame": “I made a mistake choosing between who the world wants you to be and who you really are… We need to return to where everything began… One thing is certain, I have run from my past no longer.”
Black Widow is slated for release in July 2021.

10. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster, set to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is expected to be the 25th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a screenplay by David Callaham, the film stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, alongside Tony Leung and Awkwafina.
The released trailer provides a glimpse of the plot: After years of hiding from his father, the powerful Mandarin, and living a quiet life in San Francisco, Shang-Chi feels the shadow of his past return. The film will also explore his brutal childhood training, transforming him into a martial arts master and deadly assassin.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled for release in September 2021.
