1. Parent's Speech (Speech 1)
Dear School Administration, Teachers, and all the staff members!
Dear Parents and Students!
Respecting and honoring teachers is a deeply rooted tradition in our Vietnamese culture, a culture that spans thousands of years, with a long-standing admiration for learning and respect for knowledge. On the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, November 20th, on behalf of the nearly two thousand parents of students across the school, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and all staff members who have dedicated themselves to educating and nurturing our children during their time at this prestigious school. On this significant day, I also wish to remind our students of this noble tradition and express the profound appreciation from all the parents toward our teachers, who have guided our children to become responsible citizens for the future of our nation.
Dear students!
The duty of a child is to always remember and appreciate the sacrifices of their parents. However, when it comes to teachers, the gratitude runs even deeper, as the saying goes, “A single word from a teacher is a gift, even half a word from a teacher holds significance,” emphasizing the immense role teachers play in our lives.
Our folk wisdom reminds us, “If you want to cross the river, build a bridge; if you want to excel in knowledge, honor and respect your teachers.” No one can deny the immense contribution of teachers; no one can claim to be knowledgeable without the guidance of a teacher. Teachers are the ones who directly impart knowledge to students, and through this knowledge, along with a spirit of dedication, intelligence, and hard work, students can excel in exams and life.
As a nation with a strong tradition of learning, many families, even in hardship, are determined to send their children to school. Parents place their full trust in the teachers' abilities and ethics, and therefore, respecting teachers is a principle that should always be upheld.
Today, as society advances, the role of teachers becomes even more crucial, for they are responsible for shaping the future generation, one capable of contributing to the nation's growth. As the country progresses, it is vital that students today acquire a solid foundation of knowledge, stay up-to-date with modern science and technology, and continuously develop their skills, while also honing their character, in order to become well-rounded individuals.
In our school, known as one of the leading schools in the country and in Ho Chi Minh City, we have achieved remarkable results in the past year, with over 84% of our students passing university entrance exams with their first choice, and many more achieving success with their second choice. Therefore, the role of teachers today deserves even greater recognition.
However, the relationship between teachers and students has changed over time. In the past, students showed great respect and obedience to their teachers, who often appeared strict and distant, but this was in order to ensure discipline. Today, the classroom environment allows for more interactive, equal exchanges between teachers and students, fostering a more collaborative approach to learning.
Outside of the classroom, the teacher-student relationship has become more open and friendly. While students still show respect, the distance between teacher and student is no longer as formal as it once was. In modern education, students are given more attention, with every opportunity to think independently, be creative, and enhance their ability to learn and improve on their own.
Learning is a lifelong endeavor, and knowledge is vast. Therefore, we must always respect our teachers throughout our lives.
Dear students!
Given the current challenges facing our country, the entire education sector is working hard to promote the campaign “No to corruption” and “Building a friendly school.” We must continue to have great faith in our esteemed teachers, as the negative actions of a few should not overshadow the good work of many. We must strive to create a more welcoming and supportive school environment, taking our beloved school to new heights, worthy of the legacy built by countless generations before us.
As has been the proud tradition of our people, teachers, on the frontlines of education, continue to dedicate themselves fully to their students, and they remain the brave warriors, pioneers in the mission of educating the next generation. Because of this, they deserve to be honored by society. Such recognition is both a tribute and a challenge for teachers to continue proving their commitment to the development of Vietnam's education system.
Dear teachers and students!
On this Teachers' Day, November 20th, I once again, on behalf of all parents, wish all teachers and staff members continued good health and outstanding achievements in the 2019-2020 academic year.

2. Parent's Speech (Speech 2)
Dear Honorable Guests!
Dear School Administration, Teachers, and Staff!
Dear Parents and Students!
On this joyful occasion celebrating 37 years of Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20th, I would like, on behalf of the Parents' Association, to extend my best wishes for health, happiness, and success to all distinguished guests, teachers, and students.
Dear Honorable Guests, Teachers!
The Vietnamese people have long cherished the tradition of respecting and honoring teachers, elevating the teaching profession to one of the highest. As President Ho Chi Minh once said, "Teachers are the soldiers on the cultural frontlines." In line with his wisdom, our teachers here have worked diligently to uphold the values of education, striving to teach not only knowledge but also virtues, ensuring our children grow into valuable citizens.
Dear Honorable Guests, Teachers, and Parents!
Today, our school, in cooperation with the Parents' Association, is proudly holding this Teachers' Day ceremony, a meaningful event to honor and recognize the immense contributions of our teachers who have nurtured and guided our children to maturity and success.
We are immensely proud to entrust our children to a school with a long-standing tradition and significant achievements in advancing education in the local community. With this pride, we hope our children will continue to grow and thrive under the guidance and support of our dedicated teachers. This is a great joy for all of us as parents.
While we are thrilled to see our children growing, our hearts are also filled with concern for their continued education. We worry about every meal, every night's sleep, and every page of homework, for we understand that the fruits of their education are just the beginning, and they must continue to strive in both school and life. They must never settle for what they have achieved so far.
Today, we are deeply moved and filled with pride as we witness our children’s growth—physically, emotionally, and intellectually. We understand that all of this is made possible by the devoted care and teaching of our teachers over the years.
We cannot fully repay the teachers for their efforts, but as parents, we offer our heartfelt thanks. We appreciate their tireless dedication in guiding and nurturing our children, overcoming every obstacle to ensure their success.
Through today’s ceremony, we have a deeper understanding of our responsibilities as parents and the responsibilities of our children. They must work even harder to achieve greater success and to honor the hard work of our teachers and school.

3. Student's Speech for November 20th (Speech 1)
Dear Honorable Guests!
Dear Teachers!
Dear Fellow Students!
On this joyful occasion of November 20th, the Teachers' Day, I am deeply moved and honored to stand here, representing nearly a thousand students of XX School, to express our gratitude. In this emotional moment, we, the students of this school, wish to convey our deepest thanks for the care and dedication our teachers have shown in nurturing and educating us into the people we are today.
Dear Honorable Guests! Dear Teachers!
"To cross the river, one must build a bridge.
To learn, one must respect and love their teacher."
This proverb, familiar and deeply ingrained in Vietnamese culture, perfectly illustrates the vital role of teachers. Teachers are the guides who help students navigate the waters of knowledge. Without teachers, no great achievements would be possible, for as the saying goes, "No teacher, no success." Without their guidance, how could we hope to build a future of our own?
Dear Fellow Students!
Do you remember the first day you set foot in school? Who was there to welcome you? I’m sure we all remember the mixed emotions of excitement and nervousness. As we grew, our teachers were always there, guiding us at every step. Even when we were scolded, it was never out of malice. Teachers see each student as their child, guiding and correcting us to help us grow. Just as we honor our parents, we must honor our teachers, for that is our duty and responsibility.
Many seasons of blossoming flowers and falling leaves have passed, and countless students have grown under the care of our teachers. I will never forget the moments when I saw the gray hair of my teachers, their tired eyes, and their loving smiles. No matter where life leads us, our teachers will always remain a guiding light in our lives. We will forever be grateful for their teachings.
On this Teachers' Day, we present these flowers, our love, and our sincerest promises to our teachers!
Once again, on behalf of all students, I wish all teachers and distinguished guests good health, happiness, and success in their noble mission of shaping the future.
Thank you very much!

4. Student's Speech for November 20th (Speech 2)
Dear Teachers and Distinguished Guests!
"When drinking water, remember the source,
When eating fruits, remember who planted the trees."
From the very first days we entered school, our teachers instilled in us these essential values—the first moral lessons that guide us to become good people. As Vietnamese people, we can never forget the tradition of respecting and honoring teachers, a legacy passed down through generations. Without teachers, we would not have the knowledge or wisdom to thrive... It is thanks to their dedication that our dreams soar, and with the knowledge they impart, we confidently step into the world and succeed in our studies.
Under the roof of this beloved school, we have explored the wonders of the world with passion. Teachers have opened our eyes to countless new and exciting ideas. Through their dedication and love, they have taught us invaluable lessons, helping us acquire knowledge and awaken our limitless aspirations. Our teachers are always close to us, treating us with kindness and care. To students, the chalk and blackboard always symbolize the teacher's heart and virtue. These beautiful memories will stay with us forever as we journey through life.
Thanks to the guidance and care of our teachers, we have grown day by day. We rejoice in the laughter of our dear friends and find happiness in the gentle gazes and warm words of our teachers. Every day at school is a true joy.
Dear teachers, we can still picture those hot summer days and cold winter nights when, amidst the chirping of insects, you stayed up late preparing lessons, always seeking the best ways to teach us how to be good people. And we understand, as young minds, we have often caused you trouble. Yet, you forgave us time and time again with your boundless love and patience.
You are the architects of our souls, silently guiding us through the journey of life. From the boat of knowledge you’ve built, we will sail far and wide, carrying with us the tools and lessons you've so lovingly crafted, along with your faith, hope, and trust. In our hearts, we will carry the memories of our time under the roof of XX School. We know you are always watching over us, and your presence will be a source of strength and confidence as we face the challenges ahead. During difficult times or challenges, it is this strength that will help us stand tall and persevere.
Finally, on this November 20th, on behalf of all students of XX School, I wish all distinguished guests and teachers good health, happiness, and success in their noble work. I wish my fellow students joy, good health, and diligence, so that we can become good children, diligent students, and devoted children of President Ho Chi Minh.
As we join today’s celebration, we offer these fresh flowers to all our distinguished guests and teachers.

5. Student's Speech for November 20th (Speech 3)
Dear Distinguished Guests!
Dear Teachers!
Dear Fellow Students!
As Vietnamese people, we cannot forget the age-old tradition of respecting and honoring our teachers, a value that has been passed down through generations. The saying, "Without teachers, nothing can be achieved," rings true. Our teachers are the ones who help our dreams take flight and equip us with the knowledge to confidently face the world and succeed in our studies.
On this Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th, we celebrate and express our deep gratitude to those who have dedicated their lives to teaching and guiding us throughout the years.
Dear Teachers!
We were born to our parents, nurtured, and raised to become who we are. And when the time came to attend school, we were introduced to a second set of parents—our teachers. Teachers are not only our older friends but also our second family. They guide us with love, warmth, and compassion, preparing us to face the challenges of life with confidence and knowledge.
Teachers have directed us toward a bright future, teaching us to take strong steps as we navigate life's journey. They have taught us to laugh, to cry, to stand tall after every fall, to love our families and our homeland. Teachers have also shown us how to value time, respect promises, and keep our hearts pure so we can hold our heads high among our peers.
We know that, as time passes, teachers will continue to guide many more generations through the river of knowledge.
Years may go by, and time may blur everything, but one thing is certain: we will never forget the days spent learning under the roof of this school. We will never forget the invaluable contributions of our teachers.
As students, we are still young, and we cannot yet repay the immense debt of gratitude we owe our teachers. But we promise to always listen to our teachers, work hard to earn good grades, perform good deeds, and achieve excellence—all as a token of appreciation for the love and guidance our teachers have given us.
Finally, on this November 20th, on behalf of all students at XX School, I wish all the distinguished guests, teachers, and staff continued health, success in their work, and happiness. I also wish my fellow students good health, joy, and excellent progress, so that we may all become good children, diligent students, and devoted children of President Ho Chi Minh.
As we gather for this celebration today, we offer these beautiful flowers to all our guests and teachers as a symbol of our deepest gratitude.

6. Student's Speech for November 20th (Speech 4)
Dear Esteemed Teachers!
The saying, "A father's love, a mother's kindness, a teacher's grace," could not be more true. While our parents gave us life, it is through the hands of our teachers that we have come to possess the knowledge and character we hold today. If a father's love is like a towering mountain and a mother's kindness like the ever-flowing stream, then the gratitude we owe to our teachers is as vast as the endless sea. Just as a mighty tree begins as a small seed, we would not have grown without the nurturing presence of our teachers. We are truly fortunate and proud to be able to attend school, to sit in the classrooms, and to utter the sacred words, "Teacher!"
Teachers have been our guides, leading us down the path of knowledge. Some lessons are soft and profound, while others may seem dry and rigid, but our teachers stand firm, always with love and dedication, ensuring we understand. The achievements we have gained are the direct result of their labor. In the years to come, we may forget the specific lessons, but we will never forget the image of our teachers tirelessly standing before the chalkboard.
But their role is far greater than that. Teachers are not just instructors in the classroom; they are mentors in life, teaching us to cherish what we have, to love others, to share, and to guide us in becoming better people. When we stumble or feel like giving up, they are the ones who gently lift us up, teaching us how to heal our wounds. Every day, every moment, their lessons have been ingrained in us. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank them for the immense gift of education and care.
We thank those who silently steer the boat, leaving behind their own struggles to help us reach our destination. We thank the teachers who spend sleepless nights preparing lessons, who brave the cold, rainy days to be with us in class, and whose hearts are always stirred by our success and failures.
But, dear teachers,
There have been countless times when we have caused you sorrow, even tears, through our childish mistakes and thoughtlessness. We bow our heads in apology and promise to strive harder in our studies, to be more loving and respectful, to honor the traditions of respect for our teachers and the values of our school. We vow to be worthy of the trust you and our parents have placed in us.
As a 12th-grade student, standing on the brink of leaving this school, I know my time with you is drawing short. Soon, we will venture out into the world, but the memories of these precious days spent with you will remain in my heart forever.
Dear teachers,
We will always cherish your kindness and guidance. On this Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th, I wish all of you good health, endless happiness, success in your teaching careers, and continued strength in guiding us as we navigate the vast ocean of knowledge.

7. Student's Speech for November 20th (Speech 5)
Dear Esteemed Teachers!
From the time we were cradled in our mother's arms, we were bathed in lullabies, soft and sweet, filled with love and meaning. These words, spoken from the depths of a mother's heart, are etched in our memories:
“To cross to the other side, build a bridge,
To learn, one must love the teacher.”
This folk saying, familiar to all, has been passed down through generations of Vietnamese people as a core value and essential principle of life.
Indeed, teachers are the dedicated boatmen who help us cross the river of knowledge. The growth and maturity we have achieved today, beyond the loving care of our parents, are due to the tireless efforts of our teachers who have spent countless hours preparing lessons, sharing their wisdom, and investing their passion into shaping our futures.
Dear Honorable Guests and Cherished Teachers,
To us, you are not just teachers; you are mentors, friends, and family. You are always there, guiding us through the lessons of life, as well as the subjects in school. Even as we grow older and face the challenges of adulthood, we will always remain, in your eyes, your little students.
Each year that passes, we grow older, advancing to a new grade, while your hair slowly turns gray with the years of dedication and care for your beloved students.
We will never forget the moment we saw your hair turning gray, or when we noticed the tiredness in your eyes. And though we may journey down different paths in life, you will always remain our role models, the guiding lights who will continue to inspire us. We will forever cherish the lessons you have taught us.
On this Teachers' Day, we offer you the most beautiful flowers, filled with love and gratitude, and our most sincere promises.
Once again, on behalf of all the students of our school, I would like to express our deepest appreciation to you. May you be blessed with good health, happiness, and continued success in your noble mission of shaping the future.

8. Teacher's Speech (Speech 1)
Dear Honorable Guests and Esteemed Teachers!
Every time November rolls around, we are reminded of the special day set aside for honoring our teachers. On Vietnamese Teachers' Day, all the memories of our school days flood back. I remember the words of advice, the pats on the back, and even the stern warnings from our teachers when we made mistakes. Amid the nationwide celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th, we at XX School gather to commemorate and express our gratitude to the precious teachers—our 'artists of the soul' and 'warriors on the frontlines of culture.'
Our nation has a deep tradition of "Respecting Teachers and Valuing Knowledge." Since ancient times, teachers have held a high place in society. In the hierarchy of values, as outlined by the saying “Emperor – Teacher – Parent,” teachers are ranked below the emperor but above parents.
As an old Vietnamese saying goes:
"To cross the river, build a bridge of Kieu,
To learn, one must love and respect their teacher."
This respect stems from the teacher’s role as a symbol of morality. Not only do teachers embody wisdom, but they also have the noble mission of passing that wisdom on to others, especially their students, to help them become learned, virtuous individuals who contribute to society and the nation.
Today, I stand here overwhelmed with emotion, filled with dreams of a brighter future. Teachers are like diligent boats, ferrying us across the river of knowledge, hoping to reach the shores of success.
“A boat enduring the sun and rain,
Sailing silently, carrying passengers back and forth,
Those crossing the river continue their journey ahead,
But who remembers the image of the boat?”
Every passing day brings new joy. These boats, our teachers, tirelessly continue their journeys, leaving behind the hardships, with unwavering determination to guide us safely across the river of knowledge.
Dear Honorable Guests and Esteemed Teachers!
Each of us has emotional memories when thinking back to our school days, remembering our teachers, our school, and our dear friends. I am no different. Not long ago, I was a student sitting in the classrooms of XX School, and today, I have grown a little older and am now a teacher myself, able to contribute to the noble cause of education. I owe my growth to the guidance of my teachers. Teachers, you have given me the strength to take confident steps in life, helping me soar higher in the pursuit of my dreams.
On this Teachers' Day, I offer my deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to you all. I wish you continued good health to guide the next generation of students toward their bright futures. I promise to do my best to become a good teacher and help steer the boat of knowledge toward success.
Finally, I wish all our esteemed guests, teachers, and students a joyful and prosperous November 20th. May our students continue to strive to be respectful children to their parents and exceptional students to their teachers, working hard to become the leaders of tomorrow. May our ceremony be a great success.
Thank you very much!

9. Teacher's Speech (Speech 2)
Honorable Guests!
Dear Teachers and Beloved Students!
As the joyous spirit of Vietnam’s Teachers’ Day fills the air, today I have the privilege of standing before you to represent all of our educators at XX School and share my thoughts on this special occasion.
First and foremost, I would like to wish all the teachers, my colleagues, and the students a very happy Teachers’ Day! May you all continue to be blessed with good health, happiness, and success, and may more generations of students excel in their studies and grow into responsible citizens. I would also like to thank the school’s administration and the union for giving me the opportunity to express my gratitude to our beloved teachers, and to share a few words of encouragement with our students.
Honorable Guests, Teachers, and Dear Students!
Every year, after the excitement of the school opening day subsides, we eagerly prepare to celebrate Teachers' Day, a moment when we strive to achieve academic excellence in honor of our educators. On this day, receiving perfect marks, reading beautiful poems, and hearing heartfelt words from our students always fills us with renewed energy, passion, and a deeper love for our school and students.
My journey into teaching came for many reasons. Teaching was almost a natural continuation of my family’s tradition, but the most important reason is my deep love for the curious eyes of my students—their eagerness to understand, explore, and discover new things. I want to help them grow into thoughtful individuals, to become strong and proud, like the mythical figure Phù Đổng, in their journey toward becoming well-rounded people. This is why I stand here today at this welcoming school.
As I reflect on this Teachers’ Day, I am filled with mixed emotions. In the grand scope of the world’s knowledge, I am still a small student. And yet, alongside my own diligence, I rely on the guidance of my mentors. I will forever remember the wisdom passed down by those who have led the way, and as the old saying goes, “The first character is the teacher, half a character is still the teacher.” I am deeply grateful for the life that has entrusted me with the sacred task of shaping minds.
Like many of my colleagues, I take great pride in being called an “engineer of the soul,” a creator of the future. I believe in the words of a wise person who said, “Teacher, the depth of the river can be measured by the length of the boat, but who can measure the vastness of a teacher’s heart?” Although the teaching profession is full of challenges, we, as educators, are committed to giving our hearts and souls to this noble cause, with the trust of society guiding our way.
On this Teachers’ Day, I want to remind my students to always respect and listen to their teachers. Continue to strive for excellence in your studies while under our guidance, and carry this spirit of learning with you even after you leave school. Always remember, “A son surpassing his father brings blessings to the household,” and a student surpassing their teacher is an essential step for the nation’s progress.
Finally, I wish all of our distinguished guests, teachers, and students a joyful and prosperous November 20th. May our students excel, becoming obedient children to their parents and exceptional students to their teachers, working tirelessly to become the leaders of tomorrow. May today’s ceremony be a resounding success.
Thank you all sincerely!

10. Teacher's Speech (Speech 3)
Honorable Guests, Teachers – those who have dedicated their lives to shaping minds!
As the nation comes together to celebrate the 37th anniversary of Vietnam's Teachers' Day, I feel deeply honored to represent the teachers of XX School and share my heartfelt thoughts on this day, which honors the venerable tradition of respecting and valuing teachers.
Honorable Guests and Esteemed Teachers!
Every year, when November arrives, the teachers and students of XX School eagerly participate in activities to celebrate Vietnam’s Teachers' Day. Numerous perfect scores, beautiful sentences, and heartfelt poems from our dear students remind us of the warmth that fuels our passion, recharging our spirits and strengthening our commitment to our beloved school and classrooms.
November 20th is not only a day for students to express their gratitude but also a time for teachers and students to grow closer. The genuine affection from students is the greatest gift for any teacher. Some students, though no longer in our classrooms, still remember their former teachers and return to visit us on this special day. These moments of affection lift our hearts and make us forget the everyday struggles of our work and life.
I entered the teaching profession quite simply, almost as a natural progression. But on the very first day I stood in front of the class, I realized that teaching was my true calling, my life’s passion. I love the innocent, bright-eyed students, the unguarded joy they find in learning letters, numbers, and new concepts. I cherish their curiosity and their excitement as they explore the world around them. Through their eyes, I feel like I am reliving my own childhood. But more importantly, I have come to understand the deeper values of life. It brings me immense happiness to be a guide, to help my students cross the river to their futures.
"The wooden boat – my gray hair Follows me across countless journeys The river still flows, and here I am, Guiding more boats safely to the other side."
Each day brings new joy. These quiet boats sail through the night, leaving behind fatigue and overcoming obstacles, with determination to guide their passengers to safe shores.
Today, I am overwhelmed with emotion and filled with dreams of a brighter tomorrow. I recall a famous saying: “Just as a bridge engineer rejoices in the completion of a bridge, and a farmer smiles at the sight of their newly-planted rice, a teacher’s joy is in seeing their students grow and thrive.” Indeed, I wish to be an architect of souls, witnessing the growth and development of each new generation. This is why I strive tirelessly, without rest, to help my students reach their full potential.
On this commemorative day, while we celebrate with the teachers present here, we also remember those who have passed, those who have retired, but whose hearts remain with the classroom. In this solemn and moving atmosphere, with the presence of retired and current educators, bouquets of flowers, sincere words of congratulations, speeches from the heart, and songs full of gratitude, we hope that the teaching profession will continue to shine brightly for generations to come.
In closing, on behalf of all the teachers of XX School, I wish all our distinguished guests, fellow teachers, and colleagues good health, happiness, and great success in both their work and personal lives.
Wishing our ceremony a great success. I extend my warmest regards!
