1. Me Before You
Me Before You is a heartfelt adaptation of Jojo Moyes' romantic novel, starring Emilia Clarke as 'Mother of Dragons', Sam Claflin as the 'prince', and Matthew Lewis as the 'pure-blood wizard'.
The story follows the unlikely romance between Louisa Clark, a quirky young woman, and Will Traynor, a wealthy and handsome man. Their paths cross when Louisa is hired by Will's mother to be his caregiver. Six months together, six months to connect, to understand each other, to love, and to change the course of their lives forever. 'Me Before You' is a beautiful journey of transformation.
Love is truly magical—it doesn't make us perfect, but it brings out the best in us. Will becomes happier because of Louisa; he smiles more and enjoys life outside his silent, gloomy room, breathing in the fresh air and admiring the beauty of nature. Louisa, in turn, gains confidence, courageously stepping into the world: watching foreign films, enjoying classical music, exploring sports, and traveling. Love is the most precious gift, just as Louisa once said, 'Without that wheelchair, I might never have gotten close to him. Winning his heart was the greatest achievement of my life.' Despite their differences, they come together through simple, honest emotions and strive for the best for each other. It’s because of love that Will makes the painful decision to choose death on his terms, and it’s because of love that Louisa respects his choice.
'Live! Live well! I love you! - Will'
Me Before You is a song about life and love. Live fully because tomorrow is uncertain, and say 'I love you' while you still can.

2. Train to Busan
Train to Busan is a South Korean zombie film that stirs deep emotions while offering valuable lessons about humanity and how we live. It’s a journey of life and death aboard a train, filled with ordinary, relatable emotions.
In Train to Busan, you’ll see a father, consumed by work, neglecting his family. He's a man whom society views as selfish and greedy, yet behind these judgments, there’s a daughter who understands her father’s struggles. In Train to Busan, you’ll witness a husband’s unwavering love for his wife, willing to sacrifice himself to save her and others. You’ll see the beauty of friendship and the sweetness of romantic love. You’ll experience the warmth of sibling bonds, so simple and pure. Train to Busan teaches us that 'It’s not the monsters we should fear, but the living.' Contrasting the image of a poor, ragged man who bravely sacrifices himself to save others, we also see the selfishness of the rich, who use others' deaths to save themselves. This is life—when faced with death, each person makes their own choice: to protect themselves or to help others.
Train to Busan is a long journey that continues, fighting until the train reaches its destination. I couldn't help but cry when I heard the child’s song mixed with the cries of 'The living are coming.' As long as we are alive, there is hope—a chance for a fresh start.

3. The Way Home
The 7-year-old boy, Sang Woo, is sent to live with his grandmother in the countryside while his mother looks for a more stable job. Having grown up in the city, Sang Woo struggles to adapt to his new life. He can't connect with his elderly grandmother or the humble, peaceful life in the countryside. Rebellious, disrespectful, and selfish, Sang Woo becomes angry at everything around him, feeling abandoned. He even sells his grandmother's most treasured possession, a hairpin, just to buy batteries for his video game. He throws food and expresses his frustration by lashing out at his frail grandmother. But when his mother finally returns to take him home, Sang Woo has changed. Through his grandmother's patience and boundless love, he learns empathy, experiences the meaning of family, and discovers humility.
This movie made me smile, but more importantly, it made me cry. A simple film with few words but full of love and tenderness. It captures silent yet deep love, innocent and childlike affection, and the beauty of true friendship. The image of the grandmother in the film made me reflect: I call my family regularly to check on them, but I’ve never called to ask about my grandmother—whether she’s eating well, if she’s sleeping okay, or how her health is. There are so many questions, yet I’ve forgotten to ask...

Out of love for her family, Dora, despite being Italian, begs to join them on the same train, simply to stay close to her loved ones. In the camp, where even the bravest men break down, Guido devises a plan to protect his young son’s innocence. 8. 3 Idiots
"Pursue excellence and success will follow." This movie follows three new engineering students at ICE: Farhan (played by R. Madhavan), Raju (played by Sharman Joshi), and Rancho (played by Aamir Khan). Three individuals, three different personalities, and three distinct backgrounds. Farhan is shy and passionate about photography, but he follows his father's wishes and studies engineering. Raju, a reserved young man, shoulders the burden of a sick father, a retired mother, and a sister unable to marry due to lack of dowry. For Raju, education is the only way to lift his family out of poverty.
The final character, Rancho, is joyful and intelligent, attending ICE not because of familial duty, but for his deep passion for machinery and learning. Together, these three "idiots" represent the pressures of academic life and society at large: the pursuit of grades, the toxic obsession with success, and the mental anguish it causes. Amidst these challenges, they experience love, friendship, and even romance—blooming in the midst of academic struggles. Their bond is best expressed with the touching line, "We have many tests, but only one father." 3 Idiots embraces Steve Jobs' philosophy, "Stay hungry, stay foolish."

9. Like Stars on Earth

There, a new art teacher, Nikumbh (Aamir Khan), discovers Ishaan’s talent and helps him overcome his fears and pursue his dreams.
The film is a tribute to the power of great teaching and conveys a profound message: "Forcing change never works; don’t look at others through judgmental eyes, but feel their essence with your heart. Everyone has their own unique strengths, and if you focus on their qualities and offer genuine support, they will succeed."

10. The Pursuit of Happyness
"Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something! If you have a dream, protect it." These powerful words are at the heart of "The Pursuit of Happyness," based on the real-life story of Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith). Set in San Francisco in 1981, the film follows Gardner as he struggles through extreme hardships, including mounting debt, the loss of his wife, and homelessness. Despite his circumstances, Gardner remains determined to turn his life around. He and his young son sleep in subway station bathrooms, but through it all, he never gives up. His perseverance eventually leads him to a job at a prestigious stock brokerage, where he becomes a full-time employee. As he reflects on this journey, he describes it as "the part of my life called Happyness."
The film’s title features a deliberate misspelling of 'Happyness,' with a 'Y' instead of an 'I.' This symbolic choice reflects the deeper message of the film: true happiness isn’t about material wealth or security, but the happiness we create for ourselves. Gardner explains the choice of 'Y,' stating it stems from the question 'Why?'—a deeper, philosophical inquiry about life. Education and the pursuit of happiness are intertwined, but happiness is something that must be found within ourselves, beyond the limitations of society or circumstance.
