The two were evenly matched, and after days of play, the game had no conclusion. Meanwhile, the peaceful beauty of Son Tra added to the serenity of their game. One day, a group of fairies descended from the clouds to bathe in a nearby cove. As they played in the water, the immortal became distracted and lost. Furious, he stomped his foot on a stone, sending the chessboard into the sea. Later, the people named the nearby beach 'Tien Sa'—meaning 'Fairy Beach'.
