Nguyễn Hà Dịu Thảo is a transgender beauty who has recently gained significant attention from the online community. She emerged from the Vietnam Transgender Beauty Pageant, hosted by international transgender queen Hương Giang. With her sharp intellect, eloquent speech, and confident personality, on April 8, 2023, she was officially crowned the new Miss Transgender Vietnam, celebrated by her family, friends, and fans who supported her. With a sweet, captivating beauty and a strong, distinctive personality, it’s no surprise that she claimed the title at just 23 years old.
Before gaining widespread recognition, Dịu Thảo shared that she became independent early in life, working in a pho restaurant and selling clothes. At the age of 12, she realized her true identity but kept it hidden due to fears of societal judgment. In 2018, she began her gender transition, seeking to live authentically. During this time, her mother provided immense support, encouraging her to be happy, proud of herself, and use her voice and influence to help others like her. This encouragement from her family helped shape Dịu Thảo into the confident, beautiful Miss Transgender Vietnam she is today.
After the pageant, Dịu Thảo had the opportunity to try her hand at modeling during a fashion show for designer Adrian Anh Tuấn’s “Thong Dong” collection on April 13, 2023, at The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf course. The event showcased her rising beauty and confidence.


2. Nguyễn Đan Tiên
Nguyễn Đan Tiên was perhaps the most disappointing contestant in the 2023 Miss Transgender Vietnam pageant. With her flawless features, beauty, talent, and confidence, Đan Tiên quickly captivated the audience, earning multiple personal victories for both herself and her team. Many beauty pageant fans had predicted she would win the crown. However, in a shocking turn of events during the grand finale, Đan Tiên placed in the Top 6, leaving her supporters and fans in disbelief and disappointment.
Before embarking on her journey to live as her true self, Đan Tiên became aware of her gender identity at the age of 11. She confided in her parents, but her feelings were dismissed. It was her grandmother who supported and encouraged her during these challenging moments. In 2017, Đan Tiên underwent her first surgeries to transition, showing immense courage and determination. Today, she is a beautiful and confident public figure.
Since her transition, Đan Tiên has had many more opportunities open to her. She has taken part in lookbook photo shoots, modeling, advertising campaigns, and music video appearances, earning widespread admiration from the online community.


3. Phùng Trương Trân Đài
Phùng Trương Trân Đài is widely recognized as the winner of Miss Transgender Vietnam 2020. Before achieving fame and being crowned queen, Trân Đài was the youngest of six children in a family where her father was a carpenter and her mother ran a business in Ho Chi Minh City. From a young age, Trân Đài knew her true gender identity and yearned to live authentically. This deep desire led her, at 15, to undergo gender-affirming surgery during puberty. Enduring physical and emotional pain, she faced the challenges with resilience, successfully transitioning to live as her true self.
In 2020, Trân Đài returned to Vietnam from the United States to compete in the Miss Transgender Vietnam pageant, a reality television event organized by international transgender beauty queen Hương Giang. It was during this competition that Trân Đài publicly revealed her transgender identity. After more than three months of competition, she triumphed over many other beautiful contestants to be crowned Miss Transgender Vietnam 2020 and became the country's representative at the 2022 Miss International Queen pageant in Thailand. Despite her outstanding performance on stage and her flawless appearance, she placed in the Top 6 at the grand finale, leaving her fans heartbroken.
Now, with her striking beauty, seductive style, and strong personality, Trân Đài has secured collaborations with renowned designers such as Chung Thanh Phong and Adrian Anh Tuấn. She frequently graces the runway at fashion shows, showcasing her confident and powerful walk.


4. Đỗ Nhật Hà
Đỗ Nhật Hà, born in 1996 as Đỗ Nhật Tân, began her gender transition at the age of 20. In January 2019, she won the 'Chinh Phục Hoàn Mỹ' competition and represented Vietnam at the Miss International Queen 2019 pageant in Thailand. In person, Đỗ Nhật Hà's soft, feminine appearance and sweet voice make it hard to believe she is transgender.
Though still young, Đỗ Nhật Hà's beauty rivals that of any top transgender beauty queen, including the likes of Hương Giang and other international stars. Her strikingly beautiful face and perfect physique have earned her a reputation as one of the most beautiful transgender women in Vietnam. Thanks to her hard work and dedication, Đỗ Nhật Hà has successfully expanded into various roles, including being a TV host and model.
In 2022, after much speculation, Đỗ Nhật Hà officially confirmed her participation in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 pageant, making her the first transgender contestant in the competition's history. Her participation highlighted a more modern, inclusive approach to beauty contests, celebrating the transgender and LGBT communities. Throughout the competition, she garnered substantial support from beauty fans, though luck wasn't on her side. In the grand finale, Đỗ Nhật Hà finished in the Top 16, leaving her supporters with a sense of bittersweet admiration.


5. Lương Mỹ Kỳ
Lương Mỹ Kỳ, born Lương Trung Kiên, is a well-known beauty queen, model, and actress. From a young age, she was aware of the difference in her gender identity. Determined to live as her true self, she embarked on her challenging gender transition journey at the end of 2019. In 2020, she entered and competed in the Miss International Queen Vietnam 2020 pageant with great determination, securing the title of first runner-up and the opportunity to represent Vietnam at Miss International Queen 2023. However, she chose to pass on her international competition spot to another contestant.
Before becoming a titleholder, Mỹ Kỳ was a familiar face on TV game shows such as 'Thách thức danh hài', 'Giọng ải giọng ai', and 'Người bí ẩn'. She gained admiration for her graceful image, beauty, eloquence, and wit, often affectionately called the 'lottery queen'.
Today, Mỹ Kỳ is more deeply involved in the artistic field, frequently appearing on the runway as a model with a unique and distinctive performance style.


6. Hy Sa B - Hoài Sa
Hy Sa B - Hoài Sa, born Bùi Hải Sơn in 1991, comes from a poor family in the remote Tịnh Biên district of An Giang Province. Despite her unusual name, many initially thought she was from an ethnic minority, but the name actually holds a deep meaning. As she explained, 'Hy' symbolizes her many hopes and dreams, as vast as the grains of sand on a desert, while 'B' is the initial of her family name, Bùi. She later changed her legal name to Bùi Đình Hoài Sa.
From a young age, she had to live away from her parents due to financial hardships. She earned a living by singing for a small fee of just 1,500 VND. This experience sparked her desire to live and work as a woman, performing on stage. Hy Sa B entered numerous competitions, but as she reflects, 'If I had looked like a woman, I would have had a better chance of advancing because back then, I wasn’t confident in myself.' At 19, she began taking female hormones and dressing as a woman. Despite her efforts, she struggled to find employment due to her still-masculine appearance and faced rejection. This made it difficult for her to continue her education.
Despite facing many challenges, Hy Sa B affirmed, 'I have never had negative thoughts, as I was always supported by my friends.' In 2015, she participated in the Miss Beauty competition, which is for transgender women who have not yet undergone full gender-affirming surgery. She triumphed over many other contestants, winning the crown and becoming Vietnam's first transgender beauty queen.


7. Nguyễn Tường San
Nguyễn Tường San, born Nguyễn Hoàng Bảo Phúc in 2005, is a freelance model and the first runner-up of the 2023 Miss Transgender Vietnam pageant, organized by Miss Hương Giang. Her participation in the pageant was a testament to her strength and determination, as she entered the competition just 12 days after undergoing gender-affirming surgery, with her wounds still healing. Tường San shared that after watching Miss Hương Giang win the Miss International Queen 2018 title, she realized her own desire to become a complete woman, both in body and beauty, even though she had long recognized her gender differences.
Throughout the competition, Tường San became a standout, drawing attention from both the public and the media. Her delicate, Eastern beauty captivated audiences, and it was difficult to believe she had just undergone surgery. With a graceful physique and flattering curves, Tường San effortlessly showcased her body in a series of stunning bikini photos, earning praise from beauty enthusiasts. She prefers a fashion style that is sensual, feminine, and sophisticated, accentuating her enviable figure.
Thanks to her striking looks and solid stage presence, Tường San is gaining more opportunities in the entertainment industry. She frequently appears on runways and red carpets and is a popular figure for advertisements and fashion lookbooks.


8. Miss Hương Giang
Hương Giang, born Nguyễn Ngọc Hiếu on December 29, 1991, initially gained recognition in the 2012 Vietnam Idol competition, not only for her promising vocal talent but also for her courage in undergoing gender transition. Despite being a transgender woman, Hương Giang boasts a beautiful face and a powerful voice. She became the most voted contestant in the VNI 2012 competition, impressing both the judges and audiences with her fiery appearance and beauty. Hương Giang had a solitary childhood, often spending time alone, whether out or at home. She was always kind-hearted but shy, and she had been aware from a young age that she identified as a girl, hoping to one day grow into a beautiful woman. Before transitioning, she was known as Hiếu, and although she appeared quite feminine, she decided to undergo surgery to align with her true gender.
In 2018, Hương Giang participated in the Miss International Queen pageant, a renowned global competition for transgender women, held annually in Pattaya, Thailand. She triumphed over 27 other contestants to win the coveted title of Miss International Queen. Along with this achievement, she received two additional awards for Talent and Media Beauty. Later that year, she joined the Vietnamese edition of Supermodel as a coach alongside Miss Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên. She also became a permanent advisor on the popular TV show 'Who Is He?' hosted by Trấn Thành, which garnered impressive ratings. Hương Giang has also appeared as a vedette in numerous fashion shows across Vietnam.
Beyond her entertainment career, Hương Giang has significantly contributed to the LGBT community. Through her work as the host and producer of the 'Perfect Ambassador' competition, a reality TV show for transgender women in Vietnam, she has helped bring greater visibility to the transgender community. The show serves as an important platform for transgender individuals to share their stories and challenges, fostering greater understanding and acceptance in society.


9. Lâm Khánh Chi
Lâm Khánh Chi, born Huỳnh Phương Khanh on December 31, 1977, is a dynamic transgender singer known for her numerous solo performances. In 2012, at the age of 33, Lâm Khánh Chi decided to transition to live as her true self. After enduring a series of difficult and painful surgeries in Thailand, her dream of becoming a woman was realized.
With a delicate face, slim physique, and smooth fair skin, Lâm Khánh Chi is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful transgender singers in Vietnam. While many call her a transgender singer, she confidently identifies as a female artist. Her fans affectionately refer to her as 'Miss Lâm Khánh Chi' in admiration of her beauty and grace. Alongside her growing beauty, Lâm Khánh Chi is beloved for her candid, cheerful nature and her generosity.
She is actively involved in supporting and helping members of her community as well as others in society, assisting them in overcoming life’s challenges. Her contributions have helped the LGBT community grow and thrive, becoming more developed and progressive.


10. Tô Ngọc Bảo Linh
Tô Ngọc Bảo Linh is a familiar name within both the LGBT community and the Vietnamese entertainment world. Before she became known as Tô Ngọc Bảo Linh, she was famous under the stage name Lynk Lee, a talented singer-songwriter with a series of popular songs about youth, such as 'Tạm biệt nhé', 'Nơi tôi thuộc về', 'Nếu có thể được yêu', 'Tiếng mưa', 'Ngày ấy bạn và tôi', and 'Cho tôi xin một vé đi tuổi thơ'. Lynk Lee's signature warm voice left a lasting mark on her fans.
In 2018, her fans were shocked as they saw her physical transformation. She began adopting a gender-neutral style, changing both her fashion and hairstyle, which sparked much online conversation. By early 2020, Lynk Lee revealed that she had gone to South Korea for gender-affirming surgery, receiving support and encouragement from many artists and fans.
After transitioning, Lynk Lee announced on her social media that she had officially changed her name to Tô Ngọc Bảo Linh. Now, the singer of 'Tạm biệt nhé' has undergone a significant transformation, boasting a more feminine appearance, an elegant fashion sense, and a gentle yet humorous personality. Tô Ngọc Bảo Linh is now increasingly adored by the community.
