Bãi Đầm Trầu lies near Cỏ Ống Airport, northeast of the island. It's a beautiful beach with white sand, clear blue water, and a serene atmosphere, perfect for swimming. You can enjoy a refreshing swim, relax under the sun, and indulge in a cold beer or coconut. Recently, there have been several seafood restaurants opening up in the area, so you can have lunch or dinner here. However, one inconvenience is that the access road is currently under construction, so it looks quite rough.

Strolling leisurely along deserted streets
If you're not renting a motorbike, you can leisurely stroll along the beautiful and deserted streets on the island. The air in Con Dao is very fresh and cool, especially during the calm sea season, with gentle sunlight from October to April every year. The sea breeze gently blows through the lush trees along the streets, creating cheerful spots of sunlight dancing like lively paintings on the road. The most beautiful street in Con Dao is Ton Duc Thang, where you can wander all day without getting bored.

Sitting at Côn Sơn café and reading a romantic novel
Con Dao has many stylish cafes such as Cafe Lime Kiln, Infiniti, Ngộ Quán... and especially Côn Sơn. Côn Sơn café has a beautiful location, overlooking the sea, facing the 914 bridge. Sitting here in the morning or late afternoon, surrounded by quiet atmosphere, gentle sunlight, and the sea breeze will soothe your soul. Even if you're here on a blazing sunny day, the sea breeze keeps it pleasantly cool. Enjoy a cup of coffee, read a book, sit back and relax... there's nothing better.

Head to the fish market at Bến Đầm port for seafood
Ben Dam Port is located in the southwest of Con Son Island, about 15 km from the center of Con Dao town. If you take a boat from Vung Tau city to Con Dao, you will dock at this port. Nestled in Ben Dam Bay, this area is sheltered by many mountain ranges, making it a gathering and storm shelter for boats, as well as a docking place for fishing boats. You will need to pay around 10,000 to 30,000 dong for small boats to take you to the boats. Seafood on the boats is not very cheap, but it's exceptionally fresh and delicious.

Visit Con Dao Prison
Most tourists visiting Con Dao for tourism often visit the prison system that has existed for 113 years (from 1862 to 1975) - the clearest evidence of the nation's fierce wars, known as the 'hell on earth'. Famous prison clusters include Tiger Cages, Cow Cages, Phu Hai Camp, Lime Kiln Office, Salt Office... built to imprison and torture revolutionary soldiers. Many tourists here can't help but feel a shiver at what they witness and hear.

Pay respects at Hang Duong Martyrs Cemetery
Hang Duong Martyrs Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Con Dao, where nearly 2,000 soldiers sacrificed on this island are buried, including the graves of famous patriots such as Nguyen An Ninh, Le Hong Phong, Vo Thi Sau... At Hang Duong Cemetery, day or night, there are always many people coming to pay their respects. Here, you won't feel the usual gloominess of cemeteries but instead, a sense of peace and tranquility in a solemn space.

Trekking in Con Dao National Park
Con Dao National Park covers an area of nearly 6,000 hectares on land and 14,000 hectares of water. You can trek through the forest to breathe in the fresh air, listen to the chirping of birds, admire colorful butterflies, and various other species of animals. The beaches near the national park are also beautiful and secluded, perfect for relaxation. In this area, there's Ong Dung Beach, a stunning beach located within the forestry area of Con Dao National Park.

Scuba diving to admire coral reefs
Con Dao consists of several different small islands such as Bay Canh Island, Tai Island, Tre Island, Trung Island... where various types of coral reefs converge with high density in Vietnam. Typically, hotels and resorts combine with Con Dao tourism tours to take guests on daily scuba diving experiences. For less than 1 million dong/person, you will be equipped with specialized equipment, and guided to explore the world beneath the ocean.

Watching turtles lay eggs at Bay Canh Island
The nesting season for sea turtles in Con Dao is from around April to October, with the peak being from July to September. Bay Canh Island is part of the conservation area of Con Dao National Park, so to get here, tourists need to apply for permits and the number of people is limited. You can visit the island for about 4-5 hours or stay overnight (only allowed for one night) to watch turtles lay eggs. Cat Lon Beach on Bay Canh Island is one of the 14 turtle nesting beaches in Con Dao.
